Furthermore, upon sourcing, A Retro Tale collaborates with an international network of independent suppliers with expertise in authentication. Our two-step screening process ensures 100% authenticity for your assurance.
A Retro Tale is not endorsed, licensed by, or affiliated with any brand owners – nor have any brand owners participated in the authentication of the products listed on this website, or in the training of A Retro Tale’s authenticators.
While A Retro Tale continuously strive to ensure 100% authenticity for our listed items, we offer a full refund should any concerns arise, provided that the return adhere to our return policy.
Pristine:
Item shows no signs of usage and includes tag, box and dustbag.
Excellent:
Item shows no signs of usage but excludes tag, box and/or dustbag.
Very Good:
Minor signs of usage such as light wear and abrasions on corners and/or light marks on leather or other material, and tarnish at hardware might occur.
Good:
Prominent signs of usage such as wear and abrasions on corners, marks on leather or other material, and tarnish at hardware may occur.
Fair
Obvious signs of extensive usage such as wear, abrasions, marks and/or other defects.
Most of our items are in pre-loved conditions meaning that original packings, dustbags, certificates of authenticity, manuals and other paperwork may vary. Thus, please read product description for each item carefully for your information.
Each order is provided with one A Retro Tale dustbag should your item not include one.
Yes, every image displayed on A Retro Tale website are actual photos of each item. We aim to provide as detailed photos as possible where wear and tear and other beauty marks are visible. More information regarding product condition is available on each product page.
When shopping at A Retro Tale secure and smooth payments are made via Klarna Payments in the checkout process. Klarna offers various payment options which are detailed below.
Pay Now – Fast, safe and easy service for direct and automatic payments through direct debit, credit card and BankID. Accepted cards for payment are VISA, MasterCard and AMEX in any of our shipping countries.

For customers ineligible of payments via Klarna, payments via direct bank transferal and PayPal are available. Please note that Klarna Payments are currently unavailable for residents in China and Syria. For payments via PayPal a service charge of 2.5% apply.

As an online-only retailer, we currently do not have a physical showroom, a physical store or offer walk-in to our warehouse to showcase our items.
A Retro Tale offers free national and international shipping.
We offer secure shipping via DHL with the following delivery time.
To Europe: 1-4 business days.
Outside Europe: 3-6 business days.
All orders shipped via DHL are insured and trackable. Once your shipment has been issued, a link to DHL Track & Trace service will be provided where you can track your shipment and check delivery status online.
Please note that customers are responsible upon delivery for any import duties, goods and services tax (GST), value added tax (VAT), customs fees, and any other tax on top of the A Retro Tale listed price. Delivery delays may occur due to external factors such as customs clearance.

Returns and Exchanges
A Retro Tale offers 14 days return policy upon receipt of your order..
In order to request a return, please email return@aretrotale.com with your order number and state ”return request” in your email. From there, our Customer Support will confirm that your return request has been approved and further instructions will be provided by email.
Please note that the return shipping fee is covered by the returnee and all return shippings to A Retro Tale must be traceable. Thus, please retain your receipt of shipping and tracking number until your return has been completed and you have received your refund.
Please allow up to 10 business days for your return to be completed from the return shipping date as shipping time might vary depending on shipping country and shipping provider.

At A Retro Tale full customer satisfaction is our main goal and priority. Therefore, we offer a 14 day return policy and a lifetime 100% authenticity guarantee for all of our items.
In order to avoid unnecessary returns and reduce the environmental impact of return shipping, please note that most of our items are vintage or second-hand and therefore have tales to tell. Therefore, please look at pictures, descriptions and measurements provided as they give you the best idea of the story a particular item has to tell.
As a valued customer, your satisfaction is our main goal and priority. In case dissatisfaction arises with your purchase, we offer a refund or exchange of item under following conditions:
1. Please email return@aretrotale.com requesting a return within 14 days of receiving your item.
2. Once, you have received a confirmation email regarding your return request from A Retro Tale, please pack your return in the same condition as received with all its enclosed packaging accessories. Please note that each security tag must remain intact and attached to the item.
3. Properly seal your parcel, attach address note or return shipping label onto package. Please ensure that the return address is:

4. Please submit your parcel to your nearest postal office or DHL Service Point and retain your copy of receipt until your return has been completed.
5. All return shipment must be made via trackable shipping method.
6. Email your return tracking number to return@aretrotale.com.
7. Once your return has been approved a return confirmation will be emailed to you.
A Retro Tale reserves the right for compensation up to the full value of the item(s) if any of the above conditions are not met.
Should any concern arise regarding the authenticity of any of our items, we are happy to refer you to an independent authentication provider.
Furthermore, for unclaimed items at postal office/postal service provider a fee of 60 EUR apply. The fee will be deducted from the listed price once your return has been processed.
Please note that it may take up to 10 business days for your return to be processed and approved from the day you send your return to us.
Returned items will be compared to original photos taken of the item before the initial delivery to you. If the item is found to have been used or to be in a condition different from its original, A Retro Tale reserves the right to refuse the return. Refused items will be returned back to the customer.

All payments and refunds are issued by Klarna Payments if otherwise stated. For orders purchased with credit card, debit card, direct debit or via Klarna app or website, the amount will be refunded onto the account or card used within 2-5 business days.
For Klarna invoices paid via bank transfer, Klarna will contact you in order complete your refund to your bank account, once A Retro Tale has approved your refund.
Please note that return screening process and approval of return may take up to 10 business days from the day the return is shipped to us.
No. To qualify for a full refund, our security tag must remain attached. The item is not returnable once the security tag has been removed.
