Bottega VenetaIntrecciato Boston Bag

Q: What typically fits inside the Bottega Veneta Intrecciato Boston Bag?
A: With its generous 36 cm width and 13 cm depth, this Boston bag is spacious enough for your daily essentials. It comfortably holds a large smartphone, a continental wallet, keys, a cosmetic pouch, sunglasses in a case, and a small water bottle (placed horizontally).

Q: Will it fit a tablet or laptop?
A: A standard tablet (such as an iPad) may fit horizontally depending on the case, but the fit will be snug due to the 18 cm height and zip closure. Laptops will not fit. Please refer to the Measurements on this page to check against your specific devices.

Q: How do I carry this bag?
A: This model features dual rolled top handles. The Measurements section indicates a drop of approximately 23 cm, which typically allows for shoulder wear, though this style is also classically carried by hand or in the crook of the arm.

Q: How secure is the closure and what pockets does it have?
A: The bag features a top zip closure to keep your belongings secure. The interior is lined in brown fabric and includes one internal zip pocket for valuables. Please review our photos for the exact configuration.

Q: What material is this bag made from?
A: It is crafted from Bottega Veneta’s signature Intrecciato woven leather in brown, paired with brass-tone hardware. The intricate weave gives the leather a soft, flexible structure that is highly durable.

Q: How should I care for the Intrecciato leather?
A: Keep the bag away from moisture, oils, and prolonged sunlight. The woven leather can trap dust, so we recommend gently wiping it with a soft, dry cloth or a soft brush. Avoid heavy creams that might clog the weave; if conditioning is needed, test a high-quality neutral product on a discreet area first. Store the bag lightly stuffed to maintain its shape.

Q: What is the condition of this specific piece?
A: This is a vintage item in Very Good condition. It shows light traces of use on the leather, and the hardware is shiny but exhibits some scratches and discoloration consistent with its age. Our listing photos show the specific details of this piece.

Q: Where are the brand markings located?
A: Authentic Bottega Veneta bags typically feature an interior tag or stamp indicating the brand and country of origin (Made in Italy). Vintage models may vary in the placement and format of serial codes. We can provide close-up photos of the specific markings on request.

Q: What accessories are included?
A: This item does not include any additional accessories (such as a dust bag or box). Only the item as pictured is included.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously vetted by our in-house experts using multi-point checks of materials, stitching, hardware, and overall construction. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell.
