Q: What typically fits inside this Boston shoulder bag?
A: With approximate measurements of 30 × 18 × 16 cm, it comfortably holds daily essentials such as a long wallet, smartphone, keys, sunglasses case, a small cosmetics pouch, and a 500 ml water bottle. It is not designed for laptops or full‑size tablets. Capacity will vary depending on how you pack; please refer to the Measurements on this page for exact dimensions.

Q: Can it be worn on the shoulder or crossbody?
A: The bag has dual rolled and braided handles with an approximately 14 cm adjustable drop. It can be carried by hand, in the crook of the arm, or as a snug shoulder bag. It does not include a long strap and is not intended for crossbody wear.

Q: How durable is pebbled leather and how should I care for it?
A: Pebbled leather is known for its textured grain, which helps disguise minor scratches and everyday wear. Wipe with a soft dry or slightly damp cloth after use, condition sparingly with a neutral leather cream a few times a year, and avoid prolonged exposure to moisture, oils, or direct heat. Do not use harsh cleaners or colour creams; always test care products on a small, hidden area first.

Q: The lining is suede—any care tips?
A: Gently brush the lining with a soft suede brush to lift the nap and remove dust. For small marks, use a clean suede eraser and avoid liquid cleaners. If the interior gets damp, allow it to air‑dry naturally away from heat, then brush to restore texture. Store the bag loosely stuffed to help retain its shape.

Q: How do Bottega Veneta serial numbers and tags work on vintage pieces?
A: Depending on the era, Bottega Veneta bags typically feature a leather tab stamped “Bottega Veneta Made in Italy” and/or a small fabric or paper‑like tag inside. The reverse side often references “Certificato di Originalità” with a multi‑digit code. Number formats have changed over time and aren’t intended to reveal an exact date, but they are helpful authenticity indicators. We can provide close‑up photos on request.

Q: Is this piece made in Italy?
A: Yes. The country of origin is Italy, as indicated in the product details.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: The item is sold as photographed and described. Everything included is listed in the product information section; if an item such as a dust bag, padlock or long strap is not listed there, it is not included.

Q: What should I know about the condition of this bag?
A: This example is graded Good with visible wear: scuffing on the corners, fraying on parts of the leather trim, scratches and dullness on the hardware, and wear to the interior fabric tag. Please review all images for the most accurate view of condition.

Q: How should I store it between wears?
A: Keep it loosely stuffed with acid‑free tissue and stored upright in a breathable dust bag, away from direct sunlight and humidity. Allow hardware and braided handles to lie naturally to avoid creasing, and avoid overfilling to preserve the bag’s shape.

Q: What defines a Boston/bowling bag and how does this one wear?
A: The Boston or bowling silhouette is a softly structured, zip‑top dome shape with top handles. It offers an easy, roomy interior and a streamlined exterior, and Bottega Veneta’s take emphasises minimal external branding and craftsmanship for a timeless everyday carry.
