CartierSantos Ronde 27mm Ca 1990 Quartz Watch

Q: What size is this Cartier Santos Ronde watch?
A: This watch has a 27mm case diameter. It is a compact vintage size with an elegant, classic look that suits those who prefer a smaller wristwatch profile.

Q: Is this watch quartz or automatic?
A: This piece runs on a quartz movement. That means it is battery-powered, easy to use, and does not need winding like a mechanical watch.

Q: What wrist size will it fit?
A: According to the product information, the bracelet fits a 17cm wrist or smaller. If your wrist is close to that measurement, we recommend comparing it carefully before purchasing.

Q: Is this an original vintage Cartier watch?
A: Yes. At A Retro Tale, every item is carefully inspected for authenticity by in-house experts. For vintage Cartier watches, typical checkpoints include the case details, dial, movement, engravings, and overall construction.

Q: What condition is this watch in?
A: The watch is in Very Good condition overall. The external condition is noted as Very Good with light traces of use, the internal condition is Very Good, and the hardware is shiny with light scratches. As a vintage piece from around 1990, gentle signs of age are to be expected.

Q: Is this watch suitable for everyday wear?
A: Yes, many buyers choose vintage Cartier quartz watches for regular wear because they are elegant, practical, and straightforward to maintain. As with any vintage watch, it is best to wear it with care and avoid knocks, moisture, and rough daily use.

Q: Is the watch water-resistant?
A: We do not recommend treating a vintage watch like this as waterproof. Even if the model originally offered some water resistance, seals can age over time. For a vintage quartz Cartier, it is safest to keep it away from water, steam, and prolonged moisture exposure.

Q: How often does a quartz Cartier watch need a battery change or service?
A: Cartier advises periodic battery service for quartz watches, typically every few years. For a vintage piece, regular checks are especially important to help maintain performance and to ensure old batteries are not left inside the watch.

Q: What is included with this watch?
A: This watch comes with product information listed as a Cartier pouche. If an additional item is not mentioned in the product information, it should not be assumed to be included.

Q: Why do vintage Cartier Santos Ronde watches remain popular?
A: Buyers are often drawn to the Santos line for its iconic Cartier design language, refined proportions, and timeless vintage appeal. The round Santos Ronde offers a softer variation on the classic Santos look, making it a distinctive option for collectors and everyday wearers alike.
