ChanelCC Tassel Camera Bag

Q: What typically fits inside this Chanel CC Tassel Camera Bag?
A: With approximate dimensions of 22 x 18 x 7 cm, this bag is best suited to daily essentials such as a phone, card holder or slim wallet, keys, lipstick, and other small items. It is compact rather than spacious, so bulkier purses, tablets, or larger accessories are unlikely to fit comfortably.

Q: Can this bag be worn crossbody?
A: The strap drop is approximately 50 cm. On many people that can allow for crossbody wear, while on others it may sit more like a long shoulder bag. The fit will depend on your height and preferred styling, so we recommend comparing the strap measurement with a bag you already own.

Q: How is the bag organised inside?
A: This style features a top zip main compartment with tassel detail, a front flap pocket, and one internal pocket. It is designed to keep everyday essentials neatly organised while maintaining the slim camera-bag silhouette.

Q: What are the main materials and details of this bag?
A: This piece is crafted in burgundy quilted leather with gold-tone hardware. It features a single chain-link shoulder strap, a front flap pocket, red leather lining, and a top zip closure with the signature tassel pull. The country of origin is listed as France.

Q: What does the serial number 1008981 tell me?
A: Chanel 7-digit serial numbers beginning with 1 are generally associated with production from around 1989 to 1991. As with all vintage Chanel pieces, the serial number helps date the bag, but authenticity should always be considered alongside the bag’s materials, hardware, stitching, and construction details.

Q: What is the condition of this bag?
A: The overall condition is noted as good. The exterior shows visible wear and rubbing on the leather edges, the interior has visible scratches and spots, and the hardware remains shiny with light surface scratches. As a vintage item, these signs of use are consistent with age and should be reviewed in the photos as part of the bag’s character.

Q: Is this a secure and practical everyday style?
A: Yes, the zip-top design offers good security for the main compartment, while the front pocket is useful for slimmer items you want to access quickly. The compact shape makes it easy to carry for day-to-evening use, though it is best for essentials rather than heavier loads.

Q: How should I care for this vintage Chanel leather bag?
A: To help preserve its shape and finish, avoid overfilling it and keep it away from prolonged sunlight, moisture, perfume, and harsh cleaning products. Store it upright in a pouch or dust bag, ideally lightly stuffed with tissue to help maintain the structure. Because this piece already shows edge wear, gentle handling and careful storage are especially important.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: The listing notes the serial number under product information. If an authenticity card, box, dust bag, or other items are not specifically listed under product information, they should not be assumed to be included.
