ChanelCoco Mark Pouch With Chain

Q: What typically fits inside this Chanel Coco Mark Pouch ?
A: With its compact size (approx. 15 × 9.5 × 1.5 cm), it is perfect for slim essentials: cards, folded notes, a key/fob, lipstick or small balm, receipts and compact earbuds. A bulky wallet or large key bundle will reduce capacity; pack flat items for the best zip closure and shape.

Q: Will a smartphone fit inside?
A: This pouch is small. Compact phones under roughly 14.0 cm in length may fit without a case (for reference, iPhone 13 mini is ~13.15 cm; iPhone SE 3 is ~13.84 cm). Standard phones such as iPhone 15 at ~14.76 cm are typically too snug once you account for seams and the zip opening. Please compare your phone’s dimensions to the internal allowance and avoid forcing the zip.

Q: Is the chain strap detachable or adjustable?
A: The interwoven chain-and-leather strap is detachable for clutch use or swapping to another compatible strap. It is not adjustable. The drop is approximately 57 cm, which suits most people wearing it crossbody or on the shoulder.

Q: How can I wear this piece?
A: Three easy ways: crossbody for hands-free wear, on the shoulder, or as a sleek clutch by removing the chain. It also works as an organiser pouch inside a larger tote.

Q: What does the serial number 18347760 indicate?
A: Chanel’s 18-series serial numbers date to approximately 2013–2014. This aligns with the item’s vintage status and helps place it within Chanel’s production timeline.

Q: What accessories are included with this item?
A: This piece comes with an authenticity card and a serial number tag. Everything included is listed under Accessories; if a dust bag or box isn’t listed there, it is not included.

Q: How should I care for the black quilted fabric and silver-tone hardware?
A: Gently wipe fabric and hardware with a soft, dry cloth; avoid harsh chemicals and excessive moisture. Store upright in a breathable pouch, loosely stuffed to maintain shape. Wrap the chain with tissue before storage to prevent imprints on the fabric. Keep away from prolonged light, heat and humidity.

Q: Is this the same as a Wallet on Chain (WOC)?
A: A WOC is a small flap bag with built-in card slots and compartments. This pouch is a minimal zip-top piece focused on essentials, closer to Chanel’s clutch/micro-bag category. If you need card slots and slightly more structure, consider a WOC; if you prefer a lighter, slimmer profile, this pouch is ideal.

Q: Is the country-of-origin stamp available?
A: The origin label is noted as illegible on this item, which can happen with vintage and well-loved pieces. Authenticity is assessed using multiple indicators (materials, construction, hardware, stamps and matching serial card) rather than the origin stamp alone.

Q: How does A Retro Tale authenticate Chanel pieces?
A: Every item is thoroughly vetted via multi-point checks of materials, stitching, stamps and hardware, with the serial number verified against Chanel’s series chronology. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and can share additional details or photos on request.
