ChanelDangling Clip-on Earrings

Q: Are these earrings suitable for non-pierced ears?
A: Yes. This pair has a clip-on fastening, so they are designed to be worn without pierced ears. As with most clip-on earrings, comfort can vary slightly from person to person depending on ear sensitivity and how long they are worn.

Q: What size are these Chanel dangling clip-on earrings?
A: According to the product information, they measure approximately 5 cm in height, 4 cm in width, and 0.3 cm in depth. This gives them a noticeable dangling look while still remaining wearable for day or evening styling.

Q: What colour are these earrings?
A: The product information lists the colour as gold, giving them a classic Chanel-inspired vintage look that pairs easily with both neutral and dressier outfits.

Q: What condition are the earrings in?
A: They are listed in Very Good Condition. The product information notes light traces of use overall, with shiny hardware showing light scratches. As a vintage item, gentle signs of age and wear are to be expected.

Q: Do these earrings come with a box, dust bag, or other extras?
A: No. According to the product information, this item comes with no accessories. If any extras were included, they would be stated in the product information.

Q: Will clip-on earrings feel heavy or uncomfortable?
A: Dangling clip-on earrings can feel more noticeable than small studs because the design adds movement and presence. Many wearers find clip-ons comfortable for occasional use, but if you have sensitive ears, shorter wear periods or soft clip cushions can help improve comfort.

Q: How should I care for vintage Chanel clip-on earrings?
A: Handle them gently and avoid contact with water, perfume, cosmetics, soap, and chemical cleaners. After wear, wipe them softly with a dry, non-abrasive cloth and store them separately to help prevent scratches and preserve the finish.

Q: How can I tell whether vintage Chanel earrings are authentic?
A: Authenticity should never be judged by the logo alone. Experts typically assess the overall construction, finish, weight, clip mechanism, signature marks or plaques, proportions, and consistency with the period and design style. At A Retro Tale, all items are carefully vetted for authenticity before sale.

Q: Are vintage Chanel earrings usually costume jewellery or fine jewellery?
A: Many vintage Chanel earrings are costume jewellery rather than solid precious metal fine jewellery. Their appeal and value often come from design, craftsmanship, rarity, condition, and collectability rather than intrinsic metal value alone.
