ChanelDeauville MM Tote Bag

Q: What size is this Chanel Deauville MM Tote Bag?
A: This bag measures approximately 32 x 28 x 12 cm. That makes it a practical everyday tote with room for essentials such as a wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses, a small cosmetics pouch and a tablet. If you plan to carry larger items, please compare them with the Measurements listed on this page.

Q: Can it be worn on the shoulder?
A: Yes. This Deauville features dual top handles and interwoven chain straps. The handle drop is approximately 9 cm, while the strap drop is approximately 32 cm, so it can be carried by hand, over the arm or on the shoulder.

Q: What colour and materials does this bag have?
A: This example is finished in cream canvas with gold-tone hardware, tonal lining and leather top handles. The beige shade gives it an easy, neutral look that works well throughout the year.

Q: Is this a good everyday Chanel tote?
A: Yes. The Deauville is especially popular as a relaxed everyday carryall because it is lighter and less structured than many classic leather Chanel bags. This MM size is a good choice if you want practical capacity without going overly large.

Q: What condition is this bag in?
A: It is listed in Very Good condition overall. There is light wear on the corners, loose threads and visible marks on the leather handles, minor stains inside, and light surface scratches to the shiny hardware. These signs are consistent with careful pre-owned use.

Q: What is included with this bag?
A: This item includes a matching pouch and the listed serial number. Everything included with the purchase is noted in the product information on this page.

Q: How should I care for a vintage canvas Deauville?
A: Avoid overfilling the bag, as this helps preserve its shape and reduces stress on the handles. Store it upright, lightly stuffed, and keep light canvas away from dark fabrics that may transfer colour. For routine care, use a soft dry or slightly damp cloth and seek specialist advice for deeper stains.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is checked by in-house experts before sale. This bag also has a serial number listed in the product information. As with all pre-owned luxury pieces, details such as materials, stitching, hardware and overall construction are reviewed as part of the authentication process.
