Q: What is the condition of this item?

Q: What does the serial number tag and authenticity card indicate?
A: On vintage Chanel bags, the serial number tag and authenticity card are commonly used as part of the identification and authentication process. When both are present, buyers often expect the numbers to correspond. However, these details support authentication rather than serving as the only proof on their own.

Q: How should I care for and store a vintage quilted leather Chanel bag?
A: Handle it with clean, dry hands and avoid overfilling, prolonged sunlight, heat and moisture. For storage, keep the bag lightly stuffed to help maintain its shape and place it in a breathable dust bag in a cool, dry space. A soft dry cloth is best for light surface dust, while deeper cleaning or restoration is best left to a specialist in luxury leather goods.

Q: Where was this bag made?
A: The country of origin label for this piece is France, which is consistent with Chanel’s heritage production for many vintage handbags.
