ChanelMini Square Single Flap Bag

Q: What typically fits inside this Chanel Mini Square Single Flap Bag?
A: With approximate measurements of 18 x 14 x 6 cm, this mini bag is best for daily essentials such as a phone, card holder, keys, lipstick and a few small extras. It is ideal for light carry rather than bulkier items such as a long wallet, sunglasses case or large power bank.

Q: Can this bag be worn crossbody?
A: The strap drop is approximately 55 cm, so it usually sits well on the shoulder and can work crossbody on many frames. As with most vintage mini bags, where it falls will depend on your height and proportions.

Q: What does single flap mean?
A: A single flap design has one main flap rather than the extra inner flap found in double flap styles. Buyers often like it because it feels lighter, offers easier access and gives you slightly more usable interior space for a compact bag.

Q: Does the serial number help date the bag?
A: Yes. This item has a 0-series serial number and is listed as dating from 1986 to 1988, placing it in the late 1980s vintage Chanel period.

Q: What condition is this bag in?
A: It is listed in good condition. The exterior shows scratches, creasing and wear to the corners, the interior has scratches, wear and a small tear, and the hardware remains shiny with light surface scratches.

Q: What are the key features of this bag?
A: This piece is finished in black quilted leather with gold-tone hardware, an interwoven chain and leather strap, a burgundy leather lining, one internal zip pocket, one slip pocket and a CC turn-lock closure. It is also marked as made in France.

Q: What product information are included with this item?
A: The listed product information includes the serial number. No authenticity card, box or dust bag is noted in the product information, so they should not be assumed to be included unless confirmed separately.

Q: Will a modern smartphone fit inside?
A: Many standard smartphones should fit, but larger phones or very bulky cases may be a tight fit in a mini square shape. It is always best to compare your phone to the listed measurements before purchasing.

Q: How should I care for a vintage Chanel leather bag like this?
A: Store it upright, lightly stuffed and away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture. Use a soft dry cloth for light cleaning, avoid harsh cleaning products, and try not to overfill the bag so the vintage leather and shape are better preserved.
