ChanelPatent CC Quilted Shoulder Bag

Q: What typically fits inside this Chanel shoulder bag?
A: With approximate dimensions of 22 x 22 x 6.5 cm, it is best suited to daily essentials such as a phone, a small wallet or card holder, keys, lipstick and sunglasses. It is not ideal for bulkier items or larger tablets. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for exact dimensions.

Q: Can this bag be worn crossbody?
A: This piece is designed primarily as a shoulder bag. With a strap drop of approximately 20 cm, it will usually sit on the shoulder rather than crossbody on most people.

Q: What are the main features of this bag?
A: According to the product data, this bag features black quilted patent leather, silver-tone hardware, a single flat shoulder strap, black leather lining with one internal pocket, and a flap closure with a CC turn-lock.

Q: What is the condition of this vintage Chanel bag?
A: It is listed in good condition overall. The exterior shows visible cracking on the strap, the interior has light traces of use, and the hardware is shiny with light scratches.

Q: What is included with the bag?
A: The included product information consists of the serial number, authenticity card and booklet. If any other item is not listed in the product information, it should not be assumed to be included.

Q: How should I care for patent leather?
A: Patent leather should be handled gently. Use a soft cloth for light cleaning, avoid harsh products, do not overfill the bag, and keep it away from prolonged sunlight, heat and humidity. It is also best to avoid contact with fabrics prone to colour transfer, such as dark denim, and to store the bag carefully when not in use.

Q: Is patent leather durable for regular use?
A: Patent leather can wear well, but it tends to show scratches, colour transfer and age-related wear more visibly than some matte leathers. Black patent is generally more forgiving than lighter shades, but a vintage piece should still be handled with care.

Q: Is this a good everyday bag?
A: Its compact size and secure flap closure make it practical for carrying essentials. However, because it is a vintage patent leather piece and the strap shows visible cracking, lighter day-to-day use or occasional wear is the safer choice if you want to preserve it well.

Q: How is a vintage Chanel bag typically authenticated?
A: Vintage Chanel bags are usually assessed through a combination of details, including the serial sticker, matching authenticity card, materials, hardware, stitching and overall construction. The serial number is an important indicator, but it should not be treated as the only proof of authenticity.
