Christian Dior1999s Malice Bag

Q: What size is this Christian Dior 1999s Malice Bag?
A: This bag measures approximately 30 x 24 x 10 cm, with a handle drop of around 12 cm. It is a medium-sized vintage style that works well for everyday essentials while still keeping a structured, elegant look.

Q: What typically fits inside this bag?
A: With its proportions, it should comfortably hold daily essentials such as a phone, purse, keys, sunglasses and a few small cosmetics. It is not designed for larger items such as a laptop, and bulkier pieces may reduce how easily the bag closes and keeps its shape.

Q: Can this bag be worn on the shoulder?
A: This piece features a single top handle with an approximately 12 cm drop, and no strap is listed in the product information. For most people, it is best suited to hand carry or wearing in the crook of the arm rather than as a roomy shoulder bag.

Q: What condition is this vintage bag in?
A: The overall condition is Very Good, with light traces of use. The exterior and interior are both noted as Very Good, and the hardware is shiny with light scratches consistent with careful vintage wear.

Q: What are the main design details of this piece?
A: This Malice bag is made in black leather with silver-tone hardware, a single top handle and a tonal patterned lining. It is a vintage Christian Dior piece made in Italy, giving it the distinctive late-1990s Dior look collectors often seek out.

Q: Does this bag come with any extra pieces?
A: No additional items are included with this piece. If anything is included, it will always be stated in the product information for the item.

Q: Is a serial number provided for this bag?
A: A serial number is not listed in the product information for this particular piece. For vintage Dior bags, collectors often also assess authenticity through construction, materials, lining, hardware and interior stamping details.

Q: How should I care for a vintage Dior leather bag like this?
A: We recommend handling it gently, avoiding overfilling, keeping it away from prolonged sunlight, heat and moisture, and wiping it with a soft dry cloth after use. When stored, keep it lightly stuffed with tissue and placed in a breathable fabric bag to help maintain its shape.

Q: Can a vintage Dior bag be repaired or restored?
A: Dior offers care and repair services for eligible items through its boutiques, but availability for vintage styles can vary depending on age, materials and spare parts. For older bags, specialist luxury restoration can sometimes be the most practical option for hardware, edging or leather refresh work.

Q: How is authenticity handled for this item?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is carefully reviewed for authenticity before being offered for sale. If you would like more reassurance before purchasing, you can always contact customer care for further product-specific guidance.
