Q: What size is this Lady Dior and what typically fits inside?
A: With measurements of approximately H 27 × W 32 × D 10 cm, this corresponds to the Large size in the Lady Dior family. It comfortably holds a long wallet, phone, small cosmetics pouch, sunglasses, and a compact umbrella. A4 documents fit when placed horizontally, and most 13-inch laptops or tablets fit depending on the exact model—please check your device’s dimensions against the measurements shown.

Q: Is the top opening zipped or open, and how secure is it?
A: This vintage vinyl tote variant has an open top for quick access. We recommend using pouches for smaller items and additional privacy, especially given the transparent panels.

Q: Is the material water-resistant and suitable for daily use?
A: The transparent vinyl is naturally water‑resistant and easy to wipe dry, but the leather trims and metal charms are not waterproof. Avoid heavy rain or full exposure to moisture; if the bag gets wet, pat dry promptly and allow it to air dry away from heat.

Q: How should I care for the transparent vinyl to keep it clear?
A: Wipe the vinyl after use with a soft, slightly damp microfibre cloth and mild soap if needed, then dry with a clean cloth. Avoid alcohol, acetone, or other solvents as they can haze or distort PVC. Store the bag loosely stuffed in its dust bag, away from heat and direct sunlight, to help prevent cloudiness and discolouration.

Q: Will the clear vinyl yellow over time, and how can I minimise this?
A: Clear PVC can yellow with prolonged UV exposure and heat. Minimise risk by storing the bag in a cool, dark, well‑ventilated place, using silica gel packs to reduce humidity, and avoiding radiators, car boots on hot days, or windowsills. Clean gently and regularly to remove residues that can accelerate ageing.

Q: Any special care tips for the patent leather trims and handles?
A: Patent leather is prone to colour transfer and stickiness in heat. Keep it away from dark denim and dyed textiles, wipe with a soft damp cloth using a little mild soap when needed, and dry immediately. Store so that patent surfaces do not press against other leathers or dark materials; use a protective cloth between contact points.

Q: Does it come with a strap and can it be worn crossbody?
A: Yes, this piece includes a detachable shoulder strap listed in the product information. The approximate strap drop is 45 cm, which is best suited to on‑shoulder wear for most; it may sit high if worn crossbody.

Q: What is included and how is it listed?
A: Everything that comes with the bag is detailed under product information on this page. If an item (for example, a dust bag) is not mentioned there, it is not included.

Q: What is the condition of this bag?
A: Overall very good vintage condition. Exterior: good, with scuffing at the corners and some marks on the transparent sections. Interior: very good with light signs of use. Hardware: shiny with light scratches. Please review the photos for close‑ups of wear.

Q: Where was this bag made and is it authentic?
A: The bag is labelled Made in Italy. Every item at A Retro Tale is thoroughly authenticated by our in‑house experts using multi‑point checks of materials, construction, stamps and hardware. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and can provide further details on request.
