FendiZucca Velvet Bag

Q: What is the Fendi Zucca motif?
A: Zucca is the name commonly used for Fendi's iconic all-over FF monogram. It is one of the house's most recognisable vintage signatures, which is why Zucca bags remain especially popular on the pre-owned market.

Q: What fits inside this bag?
A: With approximate measurements of 39 x 27 x 16 cm, this is a roomy everyday tote. It can typically hold essentials such as a long wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses, a cosmetics pouch and a small bottle of water, with extra space for daily bits and pieces. Please compare the measurements on this page with anything specific you plan to carry.

Q: Can this bag be worn on the shoulder?
A: Yes, the bag is designed with dual leather handles and has an approximate drop of 22 cm. Many people should be able to carry it comfortably on the shoulder, although the fit can vary depending on your frame and what you are wearing.

Q: How is the inside organised?
A: This bag has a tonal lining, one internal zip pocket and a top zip closure, giving you a secure main compartment with a separate pocket for smaller essentials.

Q: What condition is this vintage bag in?
A: The exterior is rated Very Good with scuffing on the leather trim. The interior is also rated Very Good with light trace of use, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches. As with most vintage bags, gentle signs of age are normal and part of its character.

Q: Does this item come with any extras?
A: This item is listed with no accessories. Please refer to the product information for the exact inclusions before purchase.

Q: How should I care for the velvet and leather trim?
A: Velvet and leather both benefit from gentle handling. Keep the bag away from rain, prolonged direct sunlight, heat, perfume, oils and rough surfaces. If the velvet picks up dust, use a very soft dry brush or cloth and avoid rubbing wet marks into the fabric. Store it in a dry place, lightly filled to help maintain its shape.

Q: How is authenticity checked on a vintage Fendi bag like this?
A: Authenticity is assessed through a combination of details such as the FF pattern, stitching, hardware, construction and interior branding, rather than by serial number alone. A Retro Tale authenticates every item in-house, and if a serial number is not noted in the product information, we recommend relying on the full expert review rather than that detail by itself.
