GucciBamboo Horsebit Print Tote Bag

Q: What typically fits inside this Gucci Bamboo Horsebit Print Tote?
A: With approximate measurements of 59 × 38 × 14 cm, this is a roomy tote for everyday use. It should comfortably hold A4 documents, a full-size wallet, a water bottle, a pouch, a light jumper and other daily essentials. Many 13-inch laptops should fit, and some 15-inch laptops may also fit depending on their exact dimensions and case thickness, so we recommend comparing your device to the measurements listed on this page.

Q: Can this bag be carried on the shoulder?
A: Yes. The dual flat handles have an approximate drop of 21 cm, which usually allows for comfortable shoulder carry as well as hand or arm carry. The fit can feel slightly different depending on what you are wearing, especially with thicker coats or knitwear.

Q: Does this tote have a secure closure?
A: This bag has an open top, so it offers quick and easy access to your belongings. Inside, there is one internal zipped pocket that is useful for smaller valuables you want to keep more secure.

Q: What materials and details define this bag?
A: This vintage tote features bamboo horsebit print canvas with brown leather trim, silver-tone hardware, a dark brown textile lining and one internal zipped pocket. The multicolour printed design gives it a distinctive archival Gucci feel while keeping it practical for daily wear.

Q: What does Bamboo Horsebit refer to on this Gucci bag?
A: It refers to two of Gucci’s most recognisable house codes. Bamboo became a Gucci signature in 1947, while the Horsebit motif is the equestrian-inspired double-ring-and-bar detail associated with the house’s heritage. On this tote, the reference appears as a printed design rather than as an actual bamboo handle.

Q: What condition is this bag in?
A: The overall condition is rated Very Good. The exterior shows scratches on the leather base and minor wear on the corners, the interior has light traces of use, and the hardware remains shiny with light surface scratches. As with most vintage pieces, gentle signs of age are part of the bag’s character.

Q: What comes with the bag?
A: This listing is for the bag only. No additional items are listed as included with this piece.

Q: How should I care for a vintage Gucci canvas and leather tote?
A: For routine care, gently wipe the bag with a soft dry cloth after use. Keep it away from direct heat, strong sunlight, rain and humidity, and if it gets wet, dry it promptly with a soft cloth. Store it lightly stuffed in a breathable dust bag or clean cotton pillowcase to help maintain its shape. Take care with dark denim or heavily dyed fabrics, as lighter canvas can be prone to colour transfer over time.

Q: Is a serial number listed for this item?
A: No serial number is listed in the product details for this specific piece. With vintage Gucci, serial markings can vary by era and wear, so if this is important to you, it is worth requesting an additional confirmation before purchase.
