Q: Are these Gucci Cat Head Rhinestone Earrings authentic?
A: Yes. Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously vetted by our in‑house experts and sold with our authenticity commitment. Shop with confidence.

Q: What are they made from? Are they solid gold?
A: Gucci fashion jewellery earrings are typically crafted from metal with an aged gold‑tone finish and crystal/rhinestone embellishments rather than solid gold. This pair features pink rhinestones with a cat head drop and is labelled Made in Italy. If you’d like us to confirm specific composition details for this piece, just ask and we’ll review the close‑ups for you.

Q: What are the measurements and how will they look when worn?
A: Our listing notes approximately 1.5 cm (height) x 0.5 cm (width) x 1.5 cm (depth). On most wearers, the cat head drop sits just below the earlobe for a playful statement without being heavy. If you’d like the precise gram weight or a photo on ear for scale, message us and we’ll provide it.

Q: How do they fasten and are the backs secure?
A: They use a post‑back (friction/butterfly) closure for pierced ears. Always ensure the backs are fully seated before wear; disc or silicone stabilisers can add support if needed. A jeweller can supply replacement backs if ever required.

Q: What hallmarks or stamps should I expect on Gucci earrings?
A: Gucci jewellery commonly features a GUCCI maker’s mark and “Made in Italy”; placement and format vary by collection and era. Our listing photos show any stamps present on this pair.

Q: Are they suitable for sensitive ears? Are they nickel‑free?
A: Fashion jewellery alloys may contain nickel. If you have sensitivities, consider using hypoallergenic replacement backs, barrier products on contact points, and keep the area dry. Discontinue wear if irritation occurs and contact us for guidance.

Q: Can I wear them in the shower, swimming, or to sleep?
A: We recommend removing earrings before showering, swimming, exercising, or sleeping. Moisture, fragrances and chlorinated/salt water can accelerate wear to gold‑tone finishes and may cloud rhinestones; sleeping in earrings can bend posts or stress earlobes.

Q: How should I care for the aged gold‑tone finish and rhinestones?
A: Keep them dry and away from perfume, hairspray, lotions and hand sanitiser. After wear, gently wipe with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. Do not soak, use ultrasonic cleaners or chemical dips. Store individually in a pouch/box to prevent friction and preserve sparkle.

Q: Can they be repaired or replated?
A: A competent jeweller can often straighten/tighten posts, replace backs, and in some cases refresh plating on gold‑tone pieces; stone settings can also be inspected. We don’t offer in‑house modifications, but we can recommend reputable specialists. Note that alterations may affect originality and resale value.

Q: What condition should I expect, what is included, and can I return them?
A: These earrings are in Very Good Condition unless noted otherwise. Accessories are not included unless specifically shown—this listing includes no accessories. Returns are accepted under our standard policy; please ensure the item is returned in the same condition received.
