Q: What is this model and size? A: It is the Gucci G‑Timeless GucciGhost watch in a 38 mm case, finished in black PVD‑coated stainless steel with a black dial featuring the yellow ‘Real’ GucciGhost motif. It is fitted with a black rubber strap and powered by a Swiss‑made quartz movement.

Q: Is the watch unisex and how does a 38 mm case wear? A: Yes, 38 mm is a versatile size that suits many wrist sizes and is commonly worn by both women and men. The slim case and rubber strap keep it comfortable for daily wear.

Q: What is the water‑resistance and can I swim with it? A: The G‑Timeless 38 mm range is typically rated to 50 metres (5 ATM). That is fine for everyday splashes and handwashing. We do not recommend swimming, showering or sauna use unless the seals have been recently pressure‑tested, and hot water should always be avoided as it can compromise gaskets.

Q: Does the GucciGhost dial have a date or luminous markers? A: This GucciGhost variant focuses on the graphic ‘Real’ artwork and does not feature a date window or luminous hour markers.

Q: What crystal does it use? A: The watch uses scratch‑resistant sapphire crystal with anti‑reflective treatment for clearer viewing.

Q: What movement is inside and how long will the battery last? A: It uses a Swiss quartz movement known for accuracy and low maintenance. Typical battery life is around 2–3 years in regular use; a qualified watchmaker can replace the battery and check water‑resistance at the same time.

Q: Can I change the strap? A: Yes. The rubber strap with pin buckle is adjustable and can be replaced with a compatible straight‑end strap of the correct width. If you’d like advice on sourcing a Gucci strap or a high‑quality alternative, our team can help confirm compatibility before purchase.

Q: What comes with this item? A: Everything included is listed under the product information section. For this piece, a box is included. If documents or additional items are not listed there, they are not included.

Q: What is GucciGhost and the ‘Real’ motif? A: GucciGhost is a collaboration between Gucci and artist Trouble Andrew (also known as Trevor Andrew), first seen in the Autumn/Winter 2016 collections. The ‘Real’ motif is one of the signature graphics from that collaboration.

Q: How should I care for the black PVD case and rubber strap? A: Wipe the watch with a soft, dry cloth after wear. Avoid abrasive surfaces and metal‑on‑metal contact that could mark the PVD coating. Keep the rubber strap away from solvents, perfumes and strong detergents, and rinse with fresh water after exposure to perspiration or salt air. Store the watch in its box when not in use.

Q: How do you authenticate this watch? A: Every item at A Retro Tale is carefully examined by our in‑house specialists using multi‑point checks of materials, finishing, engravings, movement and serials. We stand behind the authenticity of all pieces we offer and can share additional photos or details on request.
