Q: What typically fits inside the Garden Party 36?
A: As a medium tote with the measurements shown on this page (approx. 36 × 23 × 18 cm for this piece), it comfortably carries A4 documents, a long wallet, a water bottle, pouches and most 13-inch laptops; some slim 14-inch models may also fit depending on the case and how you pack. Many owners add a felt organiser for structure and spill protection.

Q: Can it be worn over the shoulder?
A: Many people can carry the Garden Party 36 over the shoulder via the rolled handles, especially on lighter clothing. Please check the handle drop listed in the Measurements (approx. 14 cm for this piece); if you prefer generous shoulder room, test against your usual outerwear.

Q: How does the bag close and can it expand?
A: It secures with a snap-button at the top. There are additional side snaps you can fasten for a neater profile or release to expand the opening and interior when you need extra space.

Q: Does this model have interior pockets or lining?
A: This specific piece has an unlined interior with one main compartment and no interior pockets, keeping the design simple and practical.

Q: Does the Garden Party 36 have metal feet on the base?
A: Typically, Garden Party totes do not have protective feet. If you want extra structure and base protection, a lightweight organiser or base shaper is a popular add-on.

Q: How durable is the canvas-and-leather version and how should I care for it?
A: The canvas body keeps it lightweight and robust for daily use, while the leather trim adds structure. Wipe canvas with a soft, slightly damp cloth; keep leather away from moisture and nourish sparingly with a neutral conditioner. Avoid prolonged rain or overfilling, and store stuffed and upright in a breathable dust bag away from direct sunlight.

Q: Will a 15-inch laptop fit?
A: The interior length for this item is listed as 36 cm. Many 15-inch laptops exceed 34 cm in width and can be a tight fit, especially with a sleeve. Compare your device’s measurements to the figures on this page to be sure.

Q: What does the Square H stamp mean?
A: Hermès used a letter-in-a-square date code from 1997 to 2014. Square H corresponds to 2004, indicating this bag was crafted in that year.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything included is listed under the product information section of this page. If an item such as a dust bag or organiser is not listed there, it is not included.

Q: Is the Garden Party 36 suitable for work and travel?
A: Yes. The 36 size is widely favoured as an everyday work tote because it accommodates documents and a small laptop while remaining streamlined for commuting and short trips.
