Q: What are the measurements of this Hermès Sac à Dépêches 38?
A: This particular bag measures 39 cm wide, 29 cm high and 11.5 cm deep. Although the model name includes 38, use the listed measurements when assessing its size.

Q: Will this bag fit a laptop and work documents?
A: The Sac à Dépêches is a document-focused business briefcase. This bag’s external dimensions suggest room for work papers and a compact laptop, but laptop compatibility and internal compartment measurements are not confirmed. Compare your device and its protective sleeve with the available interior space before purchasing; external measurements alone cannot guarantee fit.

Q: Can this bag be carried over the shoulder?
A: The Sac à Dépêches 38 is a hand-carried briefcase with a top handle. No shoulder strap is listed in the product information, so do not assume one is included.

Q: What condition is this pre-owned bag in?
A: It is rated Very Good Condition. The exterior has some rubbing on the corners and signs of wear on the leather. The interior shows light traces of use and one reddish mark. The hardware remains shiny with light scratches.

Q: What colour and leather is this bag?
A: This bag is listed as brown, with France recorded as its country of origin. The condition notes identify leather, but the specific Hermès leather type and official colour name are not provided.

Q: Which accessories are included?
A: The product information lists a clochette and a key. A box, dust bag and shoulder strap are not listed as included. Please check the product information for the confirmed contents.

Q: Does the Sac à Dépêches have a lockable closure?
A: A lockable clasp is a signature feature of the Sac à Dépêches line, and this item includes a key. The product data does not confirm whether the lock has been function-tested; ask for confirmation if this feature is important to you.

Q: How should I care for the leather and protect it from rain?
A: Protect the bag from rain, prolonged sunlight, heat, ink, oils and alcohol-based products. If it gets wet, gently wipe away moisture immediately with a soft, lint-free cloth. Hermès advises against commercial leather-care products and recommends professional care rather than attempting to treat marks yourself.

Q: How should I store the bag when it is not in use?
A: Store it in a dry, temperate place away from direct light, ideally in a suitable dust cover. Lightly fill it with tissue paper to help preserve its shape, and avoid overloading it during use. Hermès advises against moisture-absorbing sachets because they can dry out the leather.
