Q: Can this bag be worn comfortably on the shoulder?
A: Yes. The Looping GM is designed as a shoulder bag with a single rolled strap. This piece has an approximate strap drop of 26 cm, which generally gives a comfortable under-arm carry. It is not designed to be worn crossbody.

Q: What materials and details does this bag have?
A: This model features Damier Ebene canvas with brown leather trim, brass hardware, a red microfiber lining, internal pockets and a top zip closure. Damier Ebene is a coated canvas, which is generally appreciated for everyday practicality.

Q: Is the Looping GM a vintage or discontinued Louis Vuitton style?
A: Yes. The Looping line is a vintage Louis Vuitton design that is no longer in production, so it is typically found on the pre-owned market. The GM is the large size within the Looping family.

Q: What does the code DU0052 indicate?
A: Louis Vuitton typically used date codes rather than unique serial numbers on older bags. In this format, DU0052 indicates production in France in May 2002. As with any pre-owned Louis Vuitton, the code is one detail used during authentication rather than proof on its own.

Q: How should I care for Damier Ebene canvas and leather trim?
A: Wipe the bag gently with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth, avoid overfilling, and keep it away from heat, prolonged direct sunlight, perfume, solvents and alcohol-based products. When not in use, store it in a breathable dust bag or another ventilated space to help maintain its shape.

Q: What is the interior like?
A: The bag has a red microfiber lining with internal pockets and a secure top zip closure, helping to keep everyday essentials organised and enclosed.

Q: What condition is this item in?
A: According to the product information, the overall condition is Very Good. There are light traces of use, minor scuffing on the edges of the strap, light interior wear, and shiny hardware with light scratches. There is also slight discoloration on the strap.

Q: What is included with the bag?
A: Included items are listed in the product information. For this piece, no accessories are included.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag?
A: A Retro Tale authenticates items through expert checks of materials, construction, hardware, stamps and code details. On older Louis Vuitton bags, the date code is only one part of the authentication process.
