Q: What is the Louis Vuitton Epi Coin Purse listed here?
A: It is a compact, heart-shaped zip-around coin purse crafted in black Epi leather with gold-tone hardware. This piece features a decorative chain with clasp and signature charms (key, padlock, heart and monogram flower) plus a black leather lining. Please review our photos for the exact configuration of this pre-owned item.

Q: What are the dimensions and what will it hold?
A: Approx. 10 x 10 x 1.5 cm. It comfortably carries coins, folded banknotes (folded twice), and a few cards (typically 2–3 depending on card thickness). As with most heart-shaped coin purses, capacity is compact and best for essentials rather than a full card stack.

Q: Can I clip it to my bag and use it as a charm or key pouch?
A: Yes. The chain’s clasp can be attached to D-rings, strap loops or bag charm holders so you can wear it externally or inside the bag for quick access. To minimise scratches, avoid prolonged contact between the metal hardware and other metal surfaces and don’t overload the purse when hanging from a strap.

Q: What is Epi leather and how durable is it?
A: Epi is Louis Vuitton’s textured, grained leather known for its resilience and water‑resistant finish. It’s designed for everyday use, resisting light scratches and maintaining its shape well compared with softer leathers. Many collectors choose Epi for its understated look and hard‑wearing performance.

Q: How should I care for Epi leather?
A: Wipe gently with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Use a neutral leather conditioner sparingly if the leather feels dry. Avoid soaking, solvents, alcohol‑based cleaners, and prolonged heat or direct sunlight. Store in a cool, dry place away from colour‑transfer risks and keep the zip closed to help it retain its shape.

Q: How do I care for the gold‑tone hardware and charms?
A: Polish lightly with a soft microfibre cloth. Avoid abrasives and chemical metal polishes which can strip finishes. Minor hairline scratches are normal with use; when storing, keep the chain and charms from rubbing against other hard items.

Q: Does it have a date code or microchip, and what does TS0129 mean?
A: Louis Vuitton began phasing out visible date codes in favour of embedded microchips around 2021. This purse has a date code TS0129: “TS” indicates a French factory and the numbers typically decode to week 02 of 2019. Please note that a date code alone does not authenticate an item; A Retro Tale performs rigorous multi‑point checks on every piece.

Q: Where is this item made?
A: The country of origin label states France, which aligns with the “TS” factory code on the date stamp for this pre‑owned piece.

Q: Is the Epi Coin Purse unisex?
A: Yes. The black Epi leather and compact form suit a wide range of personal styles. The heart silhouette adds a playful touch without limiting who can enjoy it.

Q: What is included and what is the condition?
A: This listing includes a box (see Accessories section). The condition is “Like New” with a light trace of use. Please review the detailed photos and condition notes to understand the exact state of the item.
