Q: What does the “30” in Boulogne 30 refer to?
A: Louis Vuitton’s numeric size names typically indicate the approximate width in centimetres. Boulogne 30 is around 30 cm wide; this piece measures approximately 31 × 18 × 11 cm as listed under Measurements.

Q: What typically fits inside the Boulogne 30?
A: Daily essentials such as a long wallet, smartphone, keys, a slim sunglasses case, small cosmetics pouch, and a compact umbrella. Capacity varies by organiser/insert and how you pack—please refer to the Measurements for exact dimensions.

Q: Can this vintage Boulogne 30 be worn crossbody and is the strap removable?
A: It features an adjustable shoulder strap designed primarily for short- to mid-shoulder wear. The vintage strap is not designed to be quickly removable like modern detachable straps; some users add third‑party longer straps at their own discretion, but additional straps are not included unless stated in the product information.

Q: How does this vintage Boulogne 30 differ from the current Boulogne PM sold by Louis Vuitton?
A: The modern Boulogne PM has a removable strap and chain with multiple carry options and a double‑zip opening. The vintage Boulogne 30 has a single zip and a classic fixed, adjustable shoulder strap in Vachetta leather.

Q: What materials is it made from and how should I care for them?
A: The exterior is Monogram coated canvas with natural Vachetta leather trim and gold‑tone hardware. Wipe canvas with a soft, slightly damp cloth and keep Vachetta dry; water can mark untreated Vachetta. Store stuffed in a breathable dust bag away from direct sunlight and humidity.

Q: Do vintage Louis Vuitton pockets sometimes become sticky?
A: Some vintage LV models from the late 1980s–1990s used a vinyl‑coated pocket lining that can deteriorate and feel tacky over time. Not all bags are affected and severity varies by piece and storage. If stickiness occurs, consult a professional restoration service or Louis Vuitton’s repair service for advice. This item’s inner pocket lining is noted as worn in the product information.

Q: Where is the date code and what if it’s illegible?
A: Vintage LV bags typically have a date code stamped on a small leather tab or on the lining inside the bag. With age, these can fade or become hard to read. Date codes are not unique serial numbers; authenticity is assessed using multiple factors like materials, stitching, stamps and hardware. For this piece, the serial number is listed as illegible—our team has authenticated it through our standard checks.

Q: Will Louis Vuitton repair or replace parts (e.g., strap, zipper) on this model?
A: Louis Vuitton offers repair assessments in‑store and online. Availability, feasibility and pricing depend on the part and condition; turnaround can take several weeks. They will advise you after inspection and provide a quote before proceeding.

Q: What comes with this item?
A: Everything included is always listed in the product information. For this listing, a dust bag is included.

Q: Are there any notable condition details I should be aware of on this specific piece?
A: Yes. Exterior: very good with a light Vachetta patina and a watermark on one corner. Interior: very good with wear in the inner pocket lining. Hardware: shiny with light scratches. Please review all photos and the product information for full details.
