Louis VuittonMonogram Pochette Cité Bag

Q: What typically fits inside the Louis Vuitton Monogram Pochette Cité Bag?
A: With approximate dimensions of 21 x 12 x 6 cm, this compact bag is best for daily essentials such as a phone, cardholder, keys, lipstick and other small items. It is ideal for light carry rather than bulkier belongings, and it will not suit a tablet or larger everyday organiser.

Q: Can this bag be worn cross-body?
A: For most people, no. This piece is designed primarily as a shoulder bag. The listed strap drop is approximately 25 cm, which usually sits comfortably on the shoulder rather than across the body.

Q: Is the Pochette Cité a good everyday bag?
A: Yes, if you prefer a compact shoulder bag for essentials. The slim rectangular shape, zip-top closure and lightweight profile make it practical for day-to-day use, while the classic Monogram look keeps it easy to style.

Q: What materials and features does this bag have?
A: This vintage piece is made from Louis Vuitton Monogram canvas with vachetta leather trim and brass hardware. It has a zip closure, brown leather lining and one internal pocket.

Q: Is this a vintage or discontinued model?
A: Yes. The Pochette Cité is a vintage Louis Vuitton style from the early 2000s and is no longer a regular current-production model, which is part of its appeal on the pre-owned market.

Q: What does the code DU0033 mean?
A: Louis Vuitton uses date codes rather than unique serial numbers on older bags. DU0033 indicates production in France in March 2003. As always, a date code is only one part of the overall authentication process.

Q: What condition is this bag in?
A: This bag is listed in Very Good condition with light traces of use externally and internally. The hardware remains shiny with light scratches, which is consistent with careful vintage wear.

Q: Are any extras included with this bag?
A: No. This item is listed as coming with no accessories. If an extra item is not stated in the product information, it should be considered not included.

Q: How should I care for Monogram canvas and vachetta leather trim?
A: Wipe the coated canvas gently with a soft damp cloth if needed, and avoid alcohol-based cleaners, harsh chemicals and oily products. The natural vachetta leather can darken and mark over time, so it is best to keep the bag away from rain, humidity, direct heat and prolonged sunlight. Store it carefully when not in use to help preserve its shape.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is carefully vetted by in-house experts using detailed checks of materials, construction, hardware, stamps and date codes. We stand behind the authenticity of the pieces we sell and are happy to provide further product information on request.
