Q: What typically fits inside the Louis Vuitton Takashi Murakami Wapiti Case?
A: This is a compact mini case designed for small essentials rather than everyday carry. It will typically suit cards, folded notes, keys, lip balm, earbuds, or a few small cosmetics. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for the exact size, as larger phones and bulkier items are unlikely to fit comfortably.

Q: Can this Wapiti Case be carried on the wrist?
A: Yes. The design includes a short handle, making it easy to carry by hand or on the wrist for light essentials. The handle measurement for this piece is approximately 16 cm.

Q: What are the dimensions of this item?
A: The measurements for this piece are approximately 10 cm wide, 7 cm high, and 4.5 cm deep. As with all vintage items, minor measuring differences can occur depending on how the bag is shaped when laid flat.

Q: Is this part of the Takashi Murakami collaboration?
A: Yes. This piece belongs to the celebrated Louis Vuitton x Takashi Murakami era, known for its playful Multicolore Monogram and collectible appeal. Vintage examples from this collaboration remain especially sought after among collectors.

Q: What does the date code FD3007 indicate?
A: Louis Vuitton date codes from this era indicate production details rather than serving as a unique serial number. In general, a four-digit code in this format points to the production week and year, so FD3007 corresponds to 2007 production. Please note that a date code alone does not confirm authenticity.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: According to the product information, this item comes with a dust bag. If any other original packaging or extras are not listed in the product information, they are not included.

Q: What is the condition of this Wapiti Case?
A: This item is listed in very good condition. The exterior shows light traces of use and small marks, the interior also shows light traces of use, and the hardware has scratches and discolouration. Vintage Takashi Murakami pieces often show age-related wear, especially on hardware and trim, so these details are worth reviewing carefully in the photos.

Q: How should I care for a vintage Louis Vuitton Multicolore piece like this?
A: Handle it gently and avoid overfilling, prolonged sun exposure, moisture, and contact with oils or dark fabrics that may transfer colour. Clean only with a soft, dry cloth and store it in its dust bag when not in use. Because vintage coated canvas, leather trim, and hardware can all age differently, gentle storage and occasional airing are best.

Q: How do you authenticate this item?
A: At A Retro Tale, pre-owned designer items are checked for authenticity using multiple points, such as materials, construction, hardware, stamps, and code details. As with all Louis Vuitton pieces, authenticity should never be judged by the date code alone, but by the item as a whole.
