Q: What typically fits inside the Prada Cahier Small?
A: As a compact crossbody (approx. 20 × 15 × 6.5 cm), it comfortably carries a large smartphone, a compact wallet or cardholder, keys, slim sunglasses in a soft sleeve, lipstick and wireless earbuds. Continental (long) wallets, tablets and A4 documents generally do not fit. For an exact fit check, compare your items to the Measurements shown or ask us and we’ll test this specific piece for you.

Q: Will it fit a tablet or an A5 notebook?
A: Compact e‑readers or iPad mini‑sized tablets are usually too tall for the 15 cm height and structured flap opening. An A5 notebook (14.8 × 21 cm) doesn’t lie flat due to the 20 cm width. Share your device’s dimensions and we’ll confirm the fit for this exact bag.

Q: Is the shoulder strap adjustable or removable? Can I wear it crossbody?
A: Yes—this bag has a single flat adjustable and detachable shoulder strap with an approximate drop of 54 cm, suitable for shoulder or crossbody wear. If you’d like guidance on how it will sit on you, just ask and we’ll advise.

Q: How secure is the closure and what’s the interior layout?
A: It features a flap top with a strap closure and a structured silhouette. Inside you’ll find black leather lining with two internal compartments to keep essentials organised. For commuting or travel, we recommend using a small zip pouch for valuables, as there’s no internal zip closure.

Q: What materials and finish does this piece have, and where is it made?
A: Crafted in green and black leather with gold‑tone hardware, labelled Made in Italy. Natural variations in leather grain and light signs of prior use are normal for a pre‑loved piece. Our Condition notes indicate very good exterior and interior with light traces of use; hardware is shiny with light scratches and some discolouration.

Q: Is it heavy to carry? How does the hardware wear over time?
A: The Cahier’s decorative metal corner plates add some presence, but in this Small size it remains comfortable for day‑to‑night wear. With normal use, hardware can show fine hairline scratches and occasional patina/discolouration—store padded and avoid abrasive surfaces to minimise visible wear. We’re happy to provide the exact scale weight on request.

Q: How durable is Saffiano/smooth leather and how should I care for it?
A: Saffiano’s cross‑hatch texture and wax finish offer excellent scratch and water resistance, while smooth calf leather benefits from gentle, mindful use. Keep the bag away from heavy rain and oils; wipe with a soft, dry cloth and use a high‑quality neutral conditioner very sparingly (test first on a discreet area). Store upright, lightly stuffed, in a breathable dust bag, and avoid hanging it by the strap for long periods. Be mindful of potential colour transfer from dark denim onto lighter leathers.

Q: Is the Prada Cahier still produced?
A: The Cahier line debuted around 2016 and has appeared in various seasonal iterations since then. Boutique availability can fluctuate by season and colourway; the pre‑loved market is the best route for specific configurations like this green/black Small.

Q: Where are the brand markings/codes typically found, and what accessories are included?
A: Authentic Prada bags usually feature an interior “Prada Milano” heat‑stamp, “Made in Italy” marking and branded hardware; many include a small white production tag inside and an authenticity card. This listing includes an authenticity card—any other inclusions will be listed under Accessories. As always, every item at A Retro Tale undergoes rigorous multi‑point authentication by our in‑house experts, and we stand behind the authenticity of every piece we sell.
