RolexLady Datejust 26mm 1991 Watch

Q: What model and year is this Rolex Lady-Datejust?
A: This is a Swiss-made Rolex Lady-Datejust from 1991, reference 69173, with a 26 mm case diameter.

Q: Is the 26 mm Lady-Datejust suitable for a smaller wrist?
A: The 26 mm case offers a compact look for those who prefer a smaller watch. This particular bracelet is listed as fitting a wrist of 17 cm or smaller. Measure your wrist circumference before purchasing to check suitability.

Q: What condition is this watch in?
A: It is graded Very Good Condition, with light traces of use. The external and internal condition are both listed as very good, while the hardware remains shiny with light scratches. It is a pre-owned watch, not an unworn example.

Q: What comes with this watch?
A: The product information lists a box, outer box, certificate and Rolex service card dated 2012. Please refer to the product information for the complete list of included items.

Q: Does the 2012 service card mean the watch has been serviced recently?
A: A Rolex service card dated 2012 is included, but the product information does not specify a more recent service date or the work carried out. The card should not be treated as confirmation of a recent service.

Q: Is this Lady-Datejust automatic or battery-powered?
A: Reference 69173 uses an automatic mechanical movement rather than a battery. Wrist movement winds the watch during wear, and it can also be wound manually if it stops.

Q: How should I wind the watch if it has stopped?
A: Rolex advises unscrewing the winding crown fully and turning it clockwise at least 25 times for an adequate partial wind. After setting the watch, carefully screw the crown back down against the case. Do not force the crown if you feel unusual resistance.

Q: Can I swim or shower with this vintage Rolex?
A: Current water resistance is not confirmed in the product information. For a watch from 1991, do not assume its original water resistance remains intact. Have its seals and water resistance checked by a qualified watchmaker before exposing it to water; until then, avoid swimming, showering or immersing it.

Q: How should I clean and care for this watch?
A: Gently wipe the case and bracelet with a clean microfibre cloth. As this watch's current water resistance is not confirmed, avoid washing or immersing it. If it needs deeper cleaning or develops a timekeeping issue, ask a qualified watchmaker to assess it.
