Saint LaurentLarge Le 5 à 7 Supple Bag

Q: What typically fits inside the Large Le 5 à 7 Supple bag?
A: With measurements of approximately 28 × 28 × 12 cm on this piece, it comfortably holds a long wallet, smartphone, keys, sunglasses case, a small cosmetics pouch, a compact umbrella and a 500 ml water bottle. An 11-inch tablet or e‑reader fits; most 13-inch laptops will not. An A4 folder may need to go in diagonally and can be a tight fit. For best results, compare your items to the Measurements listed on this page.

Q: Is the strap adjustable and can I wear it crossbody?
A: The strap is adjustable, with an approximate 22 cm drop on this item. It is designed for shoulder/under‑arm carry and will be too short for most people to wear crossbody.

Q: How secure is the closure?
A: The bag fastens with a leather tab and Cassandre hook that secures the centre of the opening. As with many hobo styles, small gaps can remain at the sides; we recommend placing valuables in the internal zipped pocket or using a small pouch when in crowded places.

Q: What leather is used and how does it wear?
A: It is crafted from grained calfskin leather with a softly relaxed, “supple” structure. Grained calfskin is durable and tends to resist surface scratches better than smooth leather while developing a gentle drape with regular use.

Q: What is the interior like on this specific piece?
A: This item has black leather lining with one zipped pocket and one slip pocket, as stated in the product information. The Le 5 à 7 Supple line can vary by season; some versions are suede‑lined with two main compartments, so please rely on the product information for this exact bag.

Q: Does it come with any extras?
A: According to the product information for this item, a dust bag is included. If an item isn’t listed there, it is not included.

Q: Where is this bag made?
A: The country‑of‑origin label on this piece states France.

Q: Any care tips for grained calfskin leather?
A: Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid contact with liquids, oils and colour‑transfer‑prone materials. Do not overfill; store the bag lightly stuffed in its dust bag, upright, and away from direct sunlight and heat sources.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is carefully examined by our in‑house experts using multi‑point checks of materials, construction, stamping and hardware. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and are happy to provide further details on request.
