Q: How long is the Tiffany & Co. Key Long Necklace?
A: The necklace measures approximately 80 cm around, giving it a long fit. To check where it will sit on you, measure an 80 cm piece of string and place it around your neck; the pendant size and your proportions will affect the final position.

Q: What condition is this necklace in?
A: This pre-owned necklace is in very good condition with light traces of use. The hardware remains shiny with light scratches, so some signs of previous wear should be expected.

Q: Is this necklace made from sterling silver?
A: The product information lists the colour as silver but does not specify the metal composition or silver purity. Please contact A Retro Tale for confirmation before purchasing if this is important to you.

Q: Does the necklace come with a box or pouch?
A: A dust bag is included according to the product information. A box is not listed as included.

Q: Can I wear this necklace in the shower or while swimming?
A: Tiffany & Co. recommends removing jewellery before showering, bathing or swimming. Also remove it before exercise and avoid contact with perfume, lotions and household cleaning products.

Q: How should I clean this necklace?
A: As the metal composition is not specified, ask A Retro Tale or Tiffany & Co. to confirm the appropriate cleaning method before using a polishing product. If confirmed as sterling silver, Tiffany recommends gently cleaning with a suitable silver cleaner on a soft cloth, then rinsing thoroughly in warm water and drying carefully.

Q: Will this necklace tarnish?
A: If it is sterling silver, tarnishing can occur through exposure to humidity, perspiration, cosmetics and certain chemicals. This is a normal characteristic of sterling silver. The exact metal composition of this necklace is not confirmed in the product information.

Q: How should I store the necklace?
A: Store it completely dry and separately from other jewellery. The included dust bag can help keep it separate, but its anti-tarnish properties are not specified. For confirmed sterling silver, Tiffany recommends a tarnish-resistant pouch or a jewellery box with separate compartments.

Q: Can the chain be shortened or lengthened?
A: The product information does not confirm an adjustable chain. Tiffany & Co. can alter the length of many necklaces, but this particular piece would need to be assessed to confirm whether an alteration is possible and what it would cost.
