Q: What are the dimensions of this bag and what will it hold day to day?
A: This Balenciaga Motocross Giant Part Time measures approximately 45 × 25 × 19 cm with a 14 cm handle drop. It is a roomy everyday size that should comfortably hold a long wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses, a cosmetics pouch, a water bottle and small daily extras. Capacity can vary depending on how you pack, so please refer to the Measurements on this page for the most accurate guide.

Q: Will it fit a laptop?
A: Based on the listed measurements, it may fit a slim 13-inch laptop or tablet, but the soft structure means it is better suited to everyday essentials, documents and lighter tech rather than regular laptop transport. We recommend comparing your device’s exact dimensions with the Measurements before purchasing.

Q: Can this bag be worn on the shoulder?
A: This particular item has dual rolled handles with an approximate 14 cm drop, and no separate shoulder strap is listed in the product information. Some softened Part Time bags can sit over the shoulder on lighter clothing, but this piece is best considered a hand or crook-of-arm style unless otherwise stated.

Q: What does Giant mean on a Balenciaga Part Time bag?
A: Giant refers to the oversized stud and buckle hardware that gives the bag a bolder, more statement look than regular hardware versions. It is one of the defining details collectors look for on vintage Balenciaga Motocross styles.

Q: Is the distressed leather supposed to look slightly worn in?
A: Yes. The Motocross line is known for its soft, distressed leather and relaxed, slouchy finish. Natural creasing, texture variation and a broken-in look are part of the design, although any additional wear specific to this item is described separately in the condition notes.

Q: What is the condition of this specific bag?
A: This item is listed in good condition overall. The exterior shows scuffing on the corners, the interior has light traces of use, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches. As with most vintage bags, gentle signs of age and wear are to be expected.

Q: What comes with this bag?
A: This item comes with a dust bag and mirror. If any additional item is not listed in the product information, it should not be assumed to be included.

Q: How should I care for vintage distressed leather?
A: Store the bag lightly stuffed in its dust bag, away from direct sunlight, heat and humidity. Avoid overfilling it, and wipe it gently with a soft dry or slightly damp cloth after use. If you use leather care products, choose a specialist product for delicate leather and test it carefully first, as distressed finishes can react differently.

Q: How does the Part Time compare with the Balenciaga City?
A: The Part Time is generally wider and slightly shorter than the City, giving it a roomier east-west silhouette and a bit more horizontal carrying space. If you prefer a softer, more spacious everyday shape, the Part Time is often the more practical choice.

Q: How is authenticity checked?
A: At A Retro Tale, items are reviewed by in-house experts using a multi-point authentication process that considers materials, construction, hardware and brand details. The bag’s overall presentation, finish and vintage characteristics are assessed before it is offered for sale.
