Q: What is the Céline Knot Cuff Bracelet made of?
A: This vintage piece is crafted in gold‑tone metal. CELINE’s contemporary Knot bracelets are typically brass with a gold finish, and vintage compositions are similar, though exact alloys can vary by production run. Made in Italy.

Q: Will it fit my wrist?
A: The inner perimeter is approximately 19 cm. As an open cuff, it slides on through the gap rather than over the hand. Compare this measurement to a cuff you already own, or measure your wrist circumference and allow a little ease for comfort. If you are between sizes, we recommend trying against a similar open cuff rather than relying on bending the metal.

Q: Is the cuff adjustable?
A: Open cuffs allow for entry via the gap, but they are not designed for repeated bending. Flexing can weaken the metal and accelerate wear to the gold‑tone finish. Any fine adjustment should be minimal and, if needed, done by a professional jeweller to avoid stress to the piece.

Q: Will the gold‑tone finish tarnish or fade?
A: Gold‑finished brass can show patina over time, especially with exposure to moisture, lotions, fragrance or sweat. Wipe after wear with a soft, dry cloth, avoid contact with water and chemicals, and store the bracelet separately to minimise friction. Occasional gentle cleaning with mild soap and water on a soft cloth is usually sufficient; dry thoroughly before storing.

Q: Is it nickel‑free and suitable for sensitive skin?
A: Some current CELINE Knot styles are described as nickel‑free, but vintage compositions can vary and may not be specified. If you have metal sensitivities, consider wearing the cuff over a sleeve, applying a clear barrier to the contact area, or consulting a jeweller about a protective clear coating.

Q: How should I put it on and take it off?
A: Position the opening at the narrowest part of your wrist (just past the wrist bone) and roll the bracelet on and off rather than pulling the ends apart. This helps preserve the cuff’s shape and finish.

Q: Is this bracelet from the Phoebe Philo era?
A: Many sought‑after Céline knot pieces were produced during 2008–2018, when the brand stamp commonly appeared as “CÉLINE” with an accent. Later pieces may use the updated “CELINE” stamp without the accent. Stamping can vary by year and style; our team has authenticated this item and can share close‑ups on request.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Please refer to the product information on this page. Unless specifically listed, no extras are included—only the bracelet as photographed.

Q: How do you authenticate and assess condition?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale undergoes rigorous multi‑point checks by our in‑house experts, including materials, construction, stamps and overall wear. This bracelet is graded Very Good, showing light, normal signs of wear consistent with careful use.
