Chanel2.55 Striped Reissue Flap Bag

Q: What makes the Chanel 2.55 Reissue different from the Classic Flap?
A: The 2.55 Reissue is recognised by its rectangular Mademoiselle turn-lock and all-metal chain strap, which give it a more understated, vintage-inspired look. The Classic Flap uses the interlocking CC turn-lock and a leather-threaded chain.

Q: What typically fits inside this bag?
A: With measurements of approximately 28.5 × 15 × 4 cm, it is best suited to essentials such as a phone, cardholder or slim wallet, keys, lipstick, and a few small daily items. Because it is quite slim, bulkier purses, tablets, or larger pouches are unlikely to fit comfortably.

Q: Can this bag be worn crossbody?
A: The listed strap measurement is approximately 23/40 cm, so it is best suited to shoulder wear. On smaller frames it may sit as a shorter crossbody, but for most people it will wear more naturally on the shoulder.

Q: Does this bag have interior pockets?
A: Yes. According to the product information, it has a black fabric lining with one internal zip pocket, which is useful for smaller valuables.

Q: What condition should I expect from this item?
A: This bag is listed in Very Good condition. The exterior shows stains on the fabric, the interior has light traces of use, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches.

Q: What is included with this bag?
A: The product information notes the serial number as included. No authenticity card, box, or dust bag is listed, so those should not be expected unless confirmed separately.

Q: What does the serial number tell me?
A: The serial number shown for this piece corresponds to the 2008–2009 production period. For vintage Chanel, the serial number is a useful dating detail alongside materials, construction, and hardware.

Q: How should I care for this vintage Chanel bag?
A: Store it lightly filled to help maintain its shape, keep it away from prolonged sunlight and moisture, and avoid overloading it. Because this piece has a fabric exterior and vintage hardware, gentle handling and specialist cleaning are recommended rather than harsh home treatments.
