Q: What typically fits inside the Chanel Caviar Boston Bag?
A: With approximate dimensions of 37 x 20 x 13 cm, this bag is well suited to daily essentials such as a wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses case, cosmetics pouch and other medium-sized items. It offers a roomy day-bag format in a classic Boston shape. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for exact sizing.

Q: Can this bag be worn on the shoulder?
A: This style is primarily designed to be carried by hand using its dual rolled handles. The handle drop is approximately 14 cm, so some may find it can sit close under the arm, but it is not a crossbody style and no shoulder strap is included with this piece.

Q: Does the bag close securely?
A: Yes. This bag features a top zip closure, which helps keep your belongings secure whilst giving the structured Boston silhouette a neat, practical finish.

Q: Is Chanel caviar leather a good choice for everyday use?
A: Yes. Caviar leather is one of Chanel’s most popular materials for regular use because its grained texture is generally more resistant to scratches and wear than smoother leathers. It also tends to hold its shape well, making it a practical option for vintage day bags.

Q: How should I care for vintage caviar leather?
A: We recommend gently wiping the bag with a soft cloth and avoiding harsh cleaners, excess moisture, prolonged sunlight and overfilling. For storage, keep it upright in a pouch or breathable dust bag and lightly stuff the interior to help maintain its shape.

Q: What does the serial number tell me about this bag?
A: The 9-series serial number indicates production around 2004-2005, which aligns with this bag’s vintage era. On Chanel pieces from this period, the serial sticker and authenticity card are expected to correspond.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: According to the product information, this item includes an authenticity card and serial number details. If something is not listed under the product information, it should be considered not included.

Q: What is the condition of this bag?
A: The bag is listed in good condition overall, with light traces of use to the exterior and interior. The hardware remains shiny with light scratches. As with all vintage items, gentle signs of age and wear are normal and form part of the piece’s character.
