ChanelCC Half Moon Flap Bag

Q: What fits inside this Chanel CC Half Moon Flap Bag?
A: With approximate measurements of 21 x 17 x 7 cm, this bag is best suited to daily essentials such as a phone, card holder, keys, lipstick, and a few compact personal items. Its half moon shape makes it elegant and practical for light everyday use, but it will not comfortably fit bulkier items such as a tablet or larger wallet.

Q: Can this bag be worn crossbody?
A: The strap measures approximately 46 cm, so it is generally best worn on the shoulder. Depending on your height and preferred fit, it may sit too short for a comfortable crossbody carry.

Q: Is this bag vintage?
A: Yes. The serial number sticker indicates production from approximately 1986 to 1988, placing it in the late 1980s and making it a true vintage Chanel piece.

Q: What condition is this bag in?
A: It is graded Very Good Condition. The exterior shows minor signs of wear on the corners, the interior has light traces of use, and the hardware shows discolouration and light scratches. Please review the product images and product information for the most accurate view of its current condition.

Q: What is included with the bag?
A: According to the product information, this item includes its serial number sticker. If any other extras are not listed in the product information, they should not be assumed to be included.

Q: What colour is this bag, and where was it made?
A: This piece is red and carries a France origin label, making it a striking vintage Chanel shoulder bag with classic French provenance.

Q: How should I care for a vintage Chanel bag like this?
A: Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity, ideally in a breathable dust bag and lightly stuffed to help maintain its shape. Avoid overfilling it, take care around rough surfaces, and wipe it gently with a soft, dry cloth after use. For deeper cleaning or restoration, specialist professional care is recommended.

Q: Is some wear on the hardware normal for a vintage Chanel bag?
A: Yes. Light scratches and some discolouration are common signs of age on vintage Chanel hardware, especially on pieces from the 1980s. Many collectors accept this as part of the character of an authentic vintage bag, provided the wear is reflected in the condition description.

Q: How is authenticity assessed for pre-owned Chanel bags?
A: Authenticity is assessed through a combination of details such as construction, materials, hardware, stitching, brand stamps, and serial number format. This bag also retains its serial number sticker, which is an important supporting detail for a vintage Chanel piece.
