Q: What size is this Chanel CC Medium Cerf Executive Tote Bag?
A: This is the Medium size. The bag measures approximately 35 cm wide, 25 cm high and 14 cm deep. The handle drop is approximately 16 cm, and the detachable shoulder strap drop is approximately 42 cm.

Q: What fits inside this bag?
A: The Medium Cerf Executive Tote is suited to daily essentials such as a purse, phone, keys, sunglasses, a cosmetics pouch and a compact organiser or small tablet. Its structured tote shape and multiple compartments make it especially practical for everyday use. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for exact dimensions.

Q: Can this bag be carried on the shoulder as well as by hand?
A: Yes. This piece features dual top handles as well as a detachable shoulder strap, so it can be carried by hand or worn on the shoulder depending on your preference.

Q: Does this Chanel Cerf Executive Tote have compartments and pockets?
A: Yes. This bag features a front pocket with CC turnlock closure, a rear slip pocket, tonal fabric lining and interior zip pockets. These details help keep essentials organised while maintaining the structured silhouette the Cerf Executive style is known for.

Q: What leather is this bag made from?
A: According to the product information, this bag is crafted in cream caviar leather with gold-tone hardware. Caviar leather is generally appreciated for its textured finish and structured feel, which makes it a popular choice for everyday Chanel totes.

Q: Is this an older vintage Chanel bag?
A: Yes. This is a vintage Chanel piece. The listed serial number indicates a production period of 2004 to 2005, which places it within Chanel’s earlier Cerf Executive era.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: This bag includes a dust bag, authenticity card, detachable shoulder strap and serial number tag. Everything included with the item is listed in the product information.

Q: What is the condition of this bag?
A: The overall condition is rated Very Good. The exterior shows light traces of use and small marks, the interior shows light traces of use, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches. As this is a pre-owned vintage item, minor signs of wear should be expected.

Q: How should I care for cream caviar leather and gold-tone hardware?
A: To help preserve the bag, avoid overfilling it, prolonged exposure to sunlight, heat and moisture, and contact with dark or colour-transfer-prone fabrics. Wipe gently with a soft dry cloth, store it upright in its dust bag when not in use, and take extra care with the light colour, as cream leather can show marks more easily than darker shades.

Q: How do I know this bag is authentic?
A: This item includes an authenticity card and serial number tag, and the serial number corresponds to the 2004 to 2005 production period listed for the bag. At A Retro Tale, pre-owned luxury pieces are also vetted for authenticity before sale.
