Q: What size is this Chanel CC Mouton Patchwork Bag, and what will it hold?
A: This bag measures approximately 30 x 21 x 6 cm, with a shoulder strap of about 43 cm. It is best suited to daily essentials such as a phone, wallet, keys, sunglasses, and a few small cosmetics. It is not designed for larger items such as a laptop or bulky pouch.

Q: Can this bag be worn crossbody?
A: No. With its approximate 43 cm strap, this style is intended to be worn on the shoulder rather than crossbody on most people.

Q: What materials and details does this bag feature?
A: This piece is crafted in brown suede patchwork with shearling trim, silver-tone hardware, a single flat shoulder strap, a shearling lining, and a zip closure. Its combination of suede and shearling gives it a soft, cosy vintage look.

Q: Is suede and shearling difficult to care for?
A: These materials are beautiful but more delicate than grained leather. It is best to avoid rain, excess moisture, friction, oils, and dark-to-light colour transfer. For routine care, use a soft dry cloth or suede brush very gently, avoid overfilling the bag, and store it upright in a pouch or dust bag away from direct heat and sunlight. For deeper cleaning, use a specialist familiar with suede and shearling.

Q: What does the serial number 6489569 tell me?
A: This bag is listed with serial number 6489569. Chanel 7-digit 6-series serial numbers are generally associated with bags produced around 2000 to 2002, which is consistent with a vintage seasonal Chanel style.

Q: Does this item come with an authenticity card, box, or other extras?
A: The product information lists a serial number, but no authenticity card, box, or other extras are specified. If an item is not listed in the product information, it should not be assumed to be included.

Q: What condition is this bag in?
A: It is listed in very good vintage condition. The exterior shows visible scratches to the suede and signs of wear around the bag, the interior has light traces of use, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches.

Q: How is authenticity checked for a vintage Chanel bag like this?
A: Pre-owned Chanel bags are typically assessed through a combination of serial details, materials, stitching, hardware, branding, and overall construction. A Retro Tale states that its items are checked by experts before sale, giving added reassurance when buying vintage.
