Q: What size is this Chanel Classic Medium Double Flap Bag?
A: This bag measures approximately 25 x 16 x 7 cm. The strap drop is approximately 25 cm when worn doubled and 44 cm when worn single, making it a versatile medium size for both daytime and evening use.

Q: What typically fits inside a Chanel Medium Double Flap Bag?
A: The medium size usually fits everyday essentials such as most smartphones, a cardholder or slim wallet, keys, lipstick, and a few small extras. As this is a double flap style, the inner construction adds structure but slightly reduces usable space compared with a single-compartment bag.

Q: Can this bag be worn crossbody?
A: It is generally best suited to shoulder wear. With a single strap drop of approximately 44 cm, many people find the medium classic sits too high to wear comfortably crossbody, although the fit can vary depending on height and frame.

Q: What does double flap mean?
A: Double flap means the bag opens through an outer front flap and a second inner flap. This construction is one of the signatures of the classic medium style and is appreciated for its structure, security, and organised interior layout.

Q: Is this bag vintage?
A: Yes. The serial number is from the 7 series, which dates this piece to 2002-2003. That places it firmly in the vintage category.

Q: What are the main features of this specific bag?
A: This piece features black quilted leather, silver-tone hardware, a chain-link and leather shoulder strap, burgundy leather lining with multiple internal pockets, and a CC turn-lock closure. It is also marked as made in France.

Q: What condition is this bag in?
A: The overall condition is rated Very Good. There is minor wear on the corners, light scratches on the leather, light traces of use inside, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches.

Q: What is included with the bag?
A: The product information notes the serial number. If an item such as an authenticity card, box, or dust bag is not listed in the product information, it should not be assumed to be included.

Q: How should I care for a vintage Chanel flap bag?
A: Handle it gently, avoid overfilling it, and wipe it with a soft cloth only. Store it upright in a breathable dust bag, ideally with the chain protected so it does not press against the leather. Keep it away from prolonged heat, direct sunlight, and moisture to help preserve the shape and finish.

Q: How is authenticity supported for this bag?
A: A Retro Tale specialises in authenticated luxury vintage and second-hand pieces. For this bag, the serial number is also noted in the product information, which is one of the details commonly reviewed when assessing vintage Chanel bags.
