ChanelPatchwork Tote Bag

Q: What type of Chanel bag is this?
A: This is a vintage Chanel Patchwork Tote Bag in brown patchwork suede. It is designed with a single flat shoulder strap and a black textile lining with one internal zipped pocket.

Q: Can this bag be carried on the shoulder?
A: Yes. The bag has a shoulder strap with an approximate drop of 40 cm, so it is intended to sit comfortably on the shoulder for everyday wear.

Q: What fits inside this tote?
A: With approximate measurements of 30 x 29 x 8 cm, it is well suited to daily essentials such as a wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses, cosmetics pouch and a small notebook. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for exact dimensions.

Q: Will it fit a laptop?
A: It is better suited to compact daily essentials than larger tech. A very slim small tablet or compact device may fit depending on its dimensions, but most standard laptops are unlikely to fit comfortably, especially once other items are inside.

Q: What is the condition of this bag?
A: The overall condition is Very Good Condition. The exterior and interior both show light traces of use, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches.

Q: What is included with the bag?
A: This item includes a serial number tag. Everything included is listed in the product information; if an accessory is not listed there, it is not included.

Q: The serial number is listed as illegible. Is that unusual for a vintage Chanel bag?
A: Not necessarily. On vintage Chanel bags, serial stickers or tags can fade or become difficult to read over time. An illegible serial number does not by itself determine authenticity, which is assessed through the bag as a whole, including materials, construction, hardware and interior details.

Q: How should I care for the suede and store the bag?
A: Suede should be handled with care and kept away from prolonged moisture, direct sunlight and harsh products. If the bag gets wet, gently dab it with a soft absorbent cloth rather than rubbing it. When not in use, store it upright, ideally lightly stuffed and kept in a protective pouch to help maintain its shape.

Q: Is this a practical everyday Chanel bag?
A: Yes, this style is a practical vintage Chanel option if you want a soft, lightweight shoulder tote with room for everyday essentials. The open tote shape, shoulder strap and internal zipped pocket make it especially useful for day-to-day use, while the patchwork suede gives it a distinctive vintage look.
