Christian DiorTrotter Boston Bag

Q: What typically fits inside this Christian Dior Trotter Boston Bag?
A: With approximate measurements of 35 x 22 x 17 cm, this Boston-style bag offers a practical everyday capacity. It should fit essentials such as a wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses, a small cosmetics pouch and other daily items, with room for a little more thanks to its structured shape. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for the most accurate dimensions.

Q: Can this bag be carried on the shoulder?
A: This piece is designed primarily as a handheld Boston bag. The handle drop is approximately 15 cm, which may allow a very snug shoulder carry for some, but it is generally best worn in hand or over the forearm. There is no strap measurement listed in the product information.

Q: What colour is this bag?
A: According to the product information, this bag is navy. As with many vintage Dior Trotter pieces, the monogram canvas and trim can appear slightly different depending on lighting and screen settings.

Q: What condition is this vintage bag in?
A: This item is listed in good condition. The exterior shows stains and discolouration on the canvas, the interior has small spots on the lining, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches. As with all vintage bags, gentle signs of age and wear are to be expected.

Q: Does this bag come with any extras?
A: No. The product information states that this item comes with no accessories. If you are looking for inclusions such as a dust bag, box, lock, key or authenticity card, they are not included unless specifically stated in the product information.

Q: Where was this bag made?
A: The product information states that this bag was made in Italy.

Q: Is there a serial number or date code?
A: No serial number is listed in the product information for this item. On vintage Dior bags, codes and interior details can vary by production period, so the absence of a listed serial number here should be understood together with the overall authentication process and product information.

Q: How can I care for a vintage Dior Trotter canvas bag?
A: For routine care, gently wipe the bag with a soft, dry cloth after use and store it away from direct sunlight, heat and humidity. Because this item already has stains and discolouration on the canvas, avoid harsh cleaners or over-wetting the fabric. For deeper cleaning, it is best to consult a specialist experienced in vintage luxury bags.

Q: How do you authenticate vintage Dior bags like this one?
A: Authenticity is usually assessed through a combination of details rather than one single feature, including the monogram alignment, stitching quality, interior stamp or label, hardware finish, construction, and overall consistency with known Dior production details. Reputable vintage sellers also review wear patterns and period-correct design features when evaluating a piece.
