GucciGuccissima Sukey Tote Bag

Q: What typically fits inside the Gucci Guccissima Sukey Tote Bag?
A: With approximate measurements of 36 × 24 × 19 cm, this medium tote is well suited to everyday essentials such as a long wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses, a small cosmetics pouch and a tablet. It can also accommodate a compact water bottle. If you plan to carry a laptop, we recommend comparing your device’s exact measurements with the bag dimensions listed on this page.

Q: Can this bag be carried in more than one way?
A: Yes. This piece has dual rolled leather handles as well as a detachable shoulder strap, so it can be carried by hand or worn on the shoulder depending on your preference.

Q: Is the bag secure for day-to-day use?
A: Yes. This specific item is listed with a top zip closure, which helps keep your belongings more secure during daily wear. Inside, it also features an internal pocket for smaller essentials you may want to keep separate.

Q: What is Guccissima leather?
A: Guccissima is Gucci’s embossed leather, recognised by the repeating GG pattern pressed into the surface. It gives the bag a signature house look while still offering the feel and structure of leather.

Q: Does Guccissima leather hold up well over time?
A: In general, Guccissima leather is appreciated for being durable and for keeping its shape well with regular use. As with most vintage leather bags, the main areas to monitor are the corners, edges, handles and hardware, where signs of wear tend to appear first over time.

Q: Is white or ivory leather difficult to maintain?
A: Lighter leather can show marks, scuffs and colour transfer more easily than darker shades, especially from denim or dark clothing. To help preserve the finish, handle it with clean hands, avoid rough or damp surfaces, and store it away from direct sunlight, heat and humidity when not in use.

Q: How should I care for this bag?
A: For routine care, gently wipe the leather with a soft, dry cloth after use. Avoid harsh cleaning products, heavy conditioners and protective sprays unless advised by a specialist, as they may alter the finish. Storing the bag in its dust bag and lightly stuffing it can also help maintain its shape.

Q: What is the condition of this particular item, and what is included?
A: This bag is listed in Very Good condition, with light traces of use externally and internally, and shiny hardware with light scratches. According to the product information, it includes a dust bag and a detachable shoulder strap.

Q: How do you check authenticity on a pre-owned Gucci bag like this?
A: At A Retro Tale, pre-owned luxury pieces are vetted by in-house experts. Authentication typically involves checking the overall construction, leather quality, embossing, hardware, lining, stamps and other model-specific details before the item is offered for sale.
