Q: What typically fits inside the Gucci Mini Chain Soho Bag?
A: Given its compact size (approx. 17.5 × 13.5 × 5 cm), it fits daily small essentials such as a regular-sized smartphone, a slim cardholder, keys, a lipstick and small hand sanitiser. It is not designed for long wallets or bulky sunglasses cases—please refer to the Measurements on this page for exact dimensions.

Q: Will a large “Pro Max/Plus-sized” phone fit?
A: Oversized phones usually do not fit comfortably, especially with a thick case. Regular-sized smartphones generally fit best when placed horizontally and with a slim case, but we recommend comparing your phone to the posted Measurements for certainty.

Q: Is the chain strap adjustable or detachable, and can I wear it crossbody?
A: The strap is a single fixed chain and is not adjustable or detachable. With an approximate 55 cm drop on this piece, it can be worn on the shoulder or as a higher-sitting crossbody depending on your height and build.

Q: How does the Mini Chain Soho differ from the Soho Disco bag?
A: The Mini Chain Soho is smaller and dressier with a chain strap and a more compact capacity, ideal for evenings and essentials. The Soho Disco is larger with a leather strap and is better suited to everyday carry. Capacity and strap function are the main differences.

Q: What are the key features and materials of this item?
A: Burgundy grained leather with light gold-tone hardware, a zip-top closure with leather tassel, natural canvas lining with one internal pocket, and the signature interlocking G detail. Made in Italy.

Q: What is included with this purchase?
A: Everything included is listed under the product information section on this page. For this piece, no additional items are listed.

Q: What signs of wear should I expect on this specific bag?
A: It is in Very Good condition with noted wear on the leather that holds the chain. Inside, the lining has some stains and discolouration. The hardware is shiny with light scratches. Please review photos for full details.

Q: How should I care for the grained leather and tassel?
A: Wipe with a soft, dry cloth after use. Avoid overfilling to protect the zip and tassel, and keep away from moisture, oils and colour-transfer sources (like dark denim). Store it stuffed to maintain shape and in a breathable dust bag, with the chain tucked to prevent imprints.

Q: Is this style still available new at Gucci?
A: Many Soho variations are now primarily found on the pre-owned market rather than current Gucci boutiques. Availability can vary over time, which is why pieces like this are sought after in vintage collections.

Q: How does A Retro Tale authenticate this item?
A: Every piece is vetted by our in‑house experts using multi‑point checks of materials, construction, heat stamps, serial/production tags, and hardware. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and can share additional photos or details on request.
