Louis VuittonEpi Cosmetic Pouch

Q: What typically fits inside this Louis Vuitton Epi Cosmetic Pouch?
A: With measurements of approximately 17 x 12 x 6 cm, this pouch is best suited to small daily or travel essentials such as lipstick, compact powder, travel-size skincare, hair ties, tissues, cards, keys, or other compact items. It works well as a make-up pouch or organiser inside a larger bag.

Q: Can this pouch be used as a small clutch?
A: Yes, many buyers use cosmetic pouches as compact evening or organiser pieces. Please note that this item is a pouch rather than a shoulder bag, so it is best carried by hand or placed inside a larger handbag.

Q: What material is Epi leather, and why is it popular?
A: Epi leather is Louis Vuitton’s signature grained leather with a distinctive textured finish. It is appreciated for its structured feel, durability, and resistance to everyday wear compared with many smoother leathers, making it a practical choice for frequent use.

Q: What accessories are included with this item?
A: This item includes a dust bag. Everything included is listed under the product information; if another accessory is not mentioned there, it is not included.

Q: What is the condition of this pouch?
A: This piece is listed in very good condition. The exterior shows a scuffed logo, the interior has light traces of use, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches. As this is a vintage pre-owned item, gentle signs of wear are to be expected.

Q: What does the date code CA0144 mean?
A: Louis Vuitton date codes indicate the production period and factory location rather than serving as a unique serial number. Based on the code format, CA0144 corresponds to production in 2014. Please note that a date code alone does not confirm authenticity.

Q: How should I care for a vintage Epi leather pouch?
A: Wipe the exterior gently with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth and avoid harsh cleaners, oils, or excessive moisture. To help preserve its shape, store it in its dust bag when not in use and keep it away from prolonged direct sunlight or heat.

Q: How do I know this Louis Vuitton pouch is authentic?
A: At A Retro Tale, all items are carefully checked for authenticity by assessing details such as materials, construction, hardware, stamps, and date codes. The date code is one element of that process, but authenticity is always judged through the item as a whole.
