Q: What typically fits inside the Petit Noé?
A: The Petit Noé is a compact bucket bag that generally fits everyday essentials such as a phone, purse, keys, sunglasses, a small cosmetics pouch and other daily items. It is roomy for its shape, but not ideal for larger items such as most laptops or bulky folders. Please use the Measurements in the product information as your guide.

Q: Is the strap adjustable?
A: Yes. This bag has an adjustable shoulder strap, so you can tailor the fit slightly to suit your preferred shoulder drop.

Q: What is special about Louis Vuitton Epi leather?
A: Epi leather is known for its textured finish, structured feel and good day-to-day durability. It is generally more resistant to visible scratches than smoother leathers, which is one reason vintage Epi bags remain so popular.

Q: What does the date code AR0976 mean?
A: Louis Vuitton date codes help indicate when and where a bag was made, but they are not unique serial numbers. Based on the format used on vintage Louis Vuitton pieces, AR0976 indicates production in France in July 1996.

Q: What accessories are included with this item?
A: This item comes with no accessories. Everything included with the sale is reflected in the product information.

Q: What is the condition of this bag?
A: The overall condition is good. The exterior shows rubbing and scuffing on the edges and corners, along with creasing and scratches on the leather. The interior has light traces of use and small stains, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches.

Q: How should I care for vintage Epi leather?
A: Wipe it gently with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth and avoid harsh cleaners, oils and excessive moisture. Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and keep it lightly stuffed when not in use to help maintain its shape.

Q: How do you authenticate a vintage Louis Vuitton bag like this?
A: Authentication should never rely on the date code alone. Experts assess the overall construction, leather, hardware, stamps, stitching, proportions and age consistency. At A Retro Tale, authenticity is taken seriously and each item is carefully vetted before sale.
