Q: What size is the Louis Vuitton Epi Sac D'epaule PM Bag?
A: According to the product information, this bag measures approximately 27 cm wide, 29 cm high, and 15 cm deep. It has an adjustable shoulder strap with an approximate drop of 39 cm.

Q: What typically fits inside this bag?
A: With its roomy bucket-style shape, it is well suited to everyday essentials such as a long wallet, phone, keys, cosmetics pouch, sunglasses, and a small notebook or compact tablet. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for the most accurate size guidance.

Q: Is the shoulder strap adjustable?
A: Yes. This Sac D'epaule PM features an adjustable shoulder strap, allowing you to tailor the fit for comfortable shoulder carry.

Q: What kind of closure does this bag have?
A: This model is designed with an open top and a leather strap with a press-stud style fastening across the top, making the interior easy to access while still helping keep your belongings secure.

Q: What are the benefits of Louis Vuitton Epi leather?
A: Epi leather is loved for its structured feel, distinctive textured finish, and durability. Compared with smoother leathers, it is generally more resistant to everyday scratches and wear, which is one reason vintage Epi bags remain so popular.

Q: How should I care for vintage Epi leather?
A: Wipe it gently with a soft, slightly damp cloth and avoid oils, perfumes, alcohol-based products, and harsh cleaners. Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity, and avoid overfilling it to help preserve its shape.

Q: What does the date code VI0985 mean?
A: Louis Vuitton date codes from this era indicate the place and date of production rather than acting as a unique serial number. The code VI0985 corresponds to production in France in August 1995.

Q: Does this bag come with any extras?
A: No. According to the product information, this item comes with no accessories.

Q: What condition is this bag in?
A: This bag is listed in very good condition. The exterior shows light traces of use and creasing, the interior has marks, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches.

Q: How do you authenticate a vintage Louis Vuitton bag like this?
A: Authentication should never rely on the date code alone. Experts also assess the leather, construction, stitching, hardware, branding details, and overall consistency with the model and era. At A Retro Tale, authenticity is a core part of the evaluation process.
