Louis VuittonMonogram Keepall 45 Weekend Bag

Q: What are the measurements of this Louis Vuitton Keepall 45?
A: This bag measures 45 cm wide × 25 cm high × 20 cm deep, with a handle drop of approximately 10 cm. These are the measurements listed for this particular vintage piece.

Q: What can I fit inside the Keepall 45?
A: It is a practical size for overnight essentials or a lightly packed weekend away, such as a change of clothes, toiletries and small travel essentials. The amount it holds depends on the bulk of your belongings and how you pack; avoid overfilling the bag.

Q: Can I use this bag as cabin luggage?
A: The Keepall 45 is generally considered a cabin-sized travel bag. However, acceptance depends on your airline, ticket allowance and the bag’s packed dimensions and weight. Compare this item’s 45 × 25 × 20 cm measurements with your airline’s current requirements before travelling.

Q: Will it fit under an aeroplane seat as a personal item?
A: Under-seat fit is not guaranteed. Space varies between aircraft and seats, and personal-item allowances can be smaller than cabin-bag allowances. Check your airline’s specific limits rather than assuming the Keepall 45 qualifies as a personal item.

Q: Does this bag come with a shoulder strap?
A: No shoulder strap is included with this item. It is intended to be carried using its leather handles, which have an approximately 10 cm drop. Do not assume it has the shoulder-carry features of a Keepall Bandoulière.

Q: What accessories are included?
A: The product information states that no accessories are included. A shoulder strap, padlock, keys, luggage tag, dust bag or box should therefore not be expected with this purchase.

Q: What condition is this vintage bag in?
A: It is listed in Good Condition. The leather handles and trims show visible patina, darkening and signs of wear. The interior is in good condition with a light vintage smell, while the hardware has discolouration and scratches.

Q: Is the darkening on the leather normal?
A: Louis Vuitton’s natural cowhide leather develops a darker patina through ageing and use. This particular bag has visible patina and darkening, alongside signs of wear on its handles and trims. These details form part of its described vintage condition.

Q: How should I care for and store this bag?
A: Gently wipe the canvas with a soft, damp cloth, keeping moisture away from the leather trims. Avoid solvents, alcohol-based products, oils and leather treatments. If the leather gets wet, blot it promptly with a light-coloured, lint-free cloth. Store the bag in a ventilated place away from direct sunlight and heat, and avoid overpacking it.

Q: Where was this Keepall 45 made?
A: This particular bag is listed as made in France. Its recorded serial number is VI874; a code alone should not be treated as proof of authenticity.
