Dimensions & Specifications

Q: Will this charm fit any handbag?
A: Compatibility depends on your bag’s attachment points and the charm’s fastening. Check for a suitable ring or other secure attachment point, and compare it with the product photographs before purchasing. Do not force the fastening onto thick handles or delicate leather.

Q: What are the dimensions of this bag charm?
A: Measurements are not currently provided for this piece. Please contact A Retro Tale for dimensions before purchasing if size is important for your bag or intended use.

Please note that the majority of our items are vintage and therefore have tales to tell unless stated otherwise. Therefore, please look at pictures, descriptions and measurements provided as they give you the best idea of the story this item has to tell.

* Please note that when you buy a vintage product, the dimensions may vary slightly from a new one depending on previous care and storage.

Q: Is this Louis Vuitton Porte-Clé Bois Bag Charm new or pre-owned?
A: This is a pre-owned piece in very good condition. The exterior shows light traces of use, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches.

Q: Can the Porte-Clé Bois be used as a keyring?
A: The Porte-Clé Bois is also described as a key holder in listings for this model, making it an option for carrying keys as well as accessorising a bag. Check the fastening shown in the product photographs to ensure it suits your intended use.

Q: Could a bag charm scratch my handbag?
A: A dangling charm may rub against your bag or its hardware, so scratch-free use cannot be guaranteed. Position it where contact is limited, take particular care with delicate finishes, and remove it if you notice rubbing or marks.

Q: What colour is this charm, and where was it made?
A: This piece is listed as brown, with France recorded as its country of origin. Please refer to the product photographs for its appearance and finish.

Q: Does this charm come with a box?
A: Yes, a box is included according to the product information. No additional items are listed as included.

Q: What are the dimensions of this bag charm?
A: Measurements are not currently provided for this piece. Please contact A Retro Tale for dimensions before purchasing if size is important for your bag or intended use.

Q: How should I care for this pre-owned charm?
A: For gentle routine care, wipe it with a soft, dry cloth and avoid moisture, perfume and cleaning chemicals. Store it separately in a soft pouch or its box to minimise contact with other accessories. If it needs more thorough cleaning, ask for material-specific advice rather than using abrasive products.
