Louis VuittonVernis Coin Purse

Q: What typically fits inside this Louis Vuitton Vernis Coin Purse?
A: With measurements of 13 x 9 x 0.5 cm, it is best suited to coins, a few cards, folded notes and small keys. It works well as a compact catch-all for daily essentials, but it is too small for a phone or bulkier items.

Q: Can I use it for keys as well as cash and cards?
A: Yes. This piece has a chain and keyring attachment, so it can help keep keys together while the zipped compartment stores coins, receipts or a few folded notes and cards.

Q: What is Vernis leather?
A: Vernis is Louis Vuitton's embossed patent calf leather, known for its glossy finish and raised Monogram pattern. It gives the pouch a dressier look than classic canvas and a structured feel for a small leather good.

Q: Is Vernis leather durable for everyday use?
A: Vernis is generally more resistant to surface scratching than smooth leather, but it does need mindful use. It can pick up colour transfer from denim, dark leather, magazines and other pigmented materials, and heat or prolonged sun exposure can affect the finish over time.

Q: How should I care for this vintage piece?
A: Wipe it gently with a soft, dry or slightly damp light-coloured cloth and avoid harsh cleaners, solvents and alcohol-based products. Store it away from direct sunlight, humidity and heat, and keep it separate from dark fabrics or printed materials to help reduce the risk of colour transfer.

Q: Is this suitable as a mini wallet?
A: Yes, many shoppers use this style as a mini wallet or organiser. Its slim profile makes it practical for coins, emergency cash, cards or small valuables inside a larger handbag.

Q: What does the date code SN1134 tell me?
A: This is a Louis Vuitton date code rather than a unique serial number. For pieces made in the 2007 to 2021 format, the letters indicate the production location and the numbers indicate the production week and year, so SN1134 corresponds to week 13 of 2014.

Q: What condition is this item in?
A: According to the product data, it is in very good vintage condition with light traces of use. The exterior and interior are both noted as very good, and the hardware is shiny with light scratches.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: The product information states that no additional items are included with this piece. If you would like to double-check what comes with your order, the product information on this page is the best reference.
