OmegaSeamaster Diver 300m 42mm Ca 2020 Watch

Q: Which Omega Seamaster model is this, and when was it made?
A: This is the Swiss-made Omega Seamaster Diver 300M 42mm, reference 210.22.42.20.03.001. The product information dates this particular watch to approximately 2020, rather than confirming an exact production year.

Q: What condition is this pre-owned watch in?
A: It is listed in Very Good Condition, with light traces of use. The internal condition is also described as very good, while the hardware remains shiny with light scratches. Please review the product photographs for the visible signs of wear.

Q: What materials and colours does this reference feature?
A: OMEGA specifies a stainless steel and 18K yellow gold case, a blue ceramic bezel with a Ceragold diving scale, and a blue ceramic dial with laser-engraved waves. The reference was originally supplied on a blue rubber strap; please check the product photographs for this watch’s current configuration.

Q: Will the 42mm Seamaster suit a smaller wrist?
A: The case diameter is 42mm. OMEGA lists this reference as approximately 49.9mm from lug to lug and 13.56mm thick. Compare these measurements with a watch you already find comfortable, as wrist shape and preferred fit matter as much as wrist circumference. The fitted strap length is not specified in the product information.

Q: Is this watch automatic or battery-powered?
A: This reference uses OMEGA’s self-winding mechanical Calibre 8800, so it does not require a battery. Its specified power reserve is approximately 55 hours when fully wound, although the actual running time of a pre-owned example can vary with its condition and state of winding.

Q: What does Master Chronometer mean?
A: Master Chronometer certification involves testing approved by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology, METAS, covering precision, performance and magnetic resistance. This reference is designed to resist magnetic fields of up to 15,000 gauss. These are model specifications, not a statement of this particular watch’s current measured accuracy.

Q: Can I wear this pre-owned Seamaster for swimming or diving?
A: The model has a manufacturer-rated water resistance of 300 metres, but this watch’s current pressure-test status is not stated. Have its water resistance checked by an OMEGA authorised service centre before swimming or diving, as seals deteriorate over time. Always secure the screw-in crown after adjustment, and rinse with fresh water after salt-water use once water resistance has been confirmed.

Q: What is the helium escape valve for?
A: It allows helium to escape during decompression after professional saturation-diving conditions. It is not needed for ordinary swimming, snorkelling or everyday wear, so there is normally no reason to operate it.

Q: What comes with this watch?
A: The product information lists a box, outer box, manual, METAS card and pictogram card. An international warranty card is not listed, so its inclusion and any remaining manufacturer’s warranty should not be assumed.

Q: How often should this watch be serviced?
A: OMEGA recommends a complete service every five to eight years and an annual water-resistance check, depending on use and conditions. This watch’s service history is not specified in the product information; its very good internal condition does not establish when it was last serviced.
