PradaTessutto Tote Bag

Q: What does Tessuto mean on a Prada bag?
A: Tessuto is the term commonly used for Prada's signature nylon fabric. On this piece, it is paired with black leather trim for a lightweight yet polished everyday look.

Q: What typically fits inside this Prada Tessuto Tote Bag?
A: With approximate dimensions of 27 x 20 x 11 cm, it suits daily essentials such as a phone, long wallet, sunglasses, keys, a cosmetics pouch and other small necessities. It is a compact tote rather than an oversized work bag, so please refer to the Measurements on this page for exact sizing.

Q: Does this bag come with a shoulder strap?
A: No detachable shoulder strap is listed in the product information. This bag features dual flat top handles with an approximate handle drop of 18 cm, so it is best suited to hand carry or a short shoulder carry depending on your frame and clothing.

Q: How is the bag organised?
A: This bag has a zip-top closure, two external side zip pockets and a tonal logo jacquard lining. The side pockets are useful for slimmer items you want to reach quickly, such as cards, receipts or keys.

Q: Will it fit a laptop or A4 documents?
A: In most cases, no. At approximately 27 cm wide and 20 cm high, it is better suited to everyday essentials or a small tablet than most laptops or full-size A4 papers.

Q: Is Prada Tessuto nylon good for everyday use?
A: Yes, Prada nylon styles are popular because they are lightweight, practical and easier to wear day to day than heavier all-leather bags. As with any vintage item, it is still best to avoid overfilling and rough surfaces to help preserve the nylon, leather trim and hardware.

Q: How should I care for a vintage Prada nylon bag?
A: Gently wipe the bag with a soft, dry cloth and store it in a clean, well-ventilated place away from heat, damp and direct sunlight. Avoid harsh cleaning products and unnecessary DIY treatments; for deeper cleaning or repairs, professional care is the safest option.

Q: What condition is this bag in?
A: According to the product information, the bag is in Very Good condition with light traces of use externally and internally. The hardware remains shiny with light scratches consistent with gentle wear.

Q: Does anything extra come with this bag?
A: No extras are listed in the product information for this item. If something is not stated there, it should not be assumed to be included.

Q: How do you authenticate vintage Prada bags?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is vetted by in-house experts using detailed checks of materials, construction, hardware, labels and overall consistency. Prada authentication details can vary by production era, so vintage pieces are assessed in the context of their age and model.
