Tiffany & CoGift Box Silver Necklace

Q: What is the Tiffany & Co. Gift Box Silver Necklace?
A: This vintage sterling silver necklace features a turquoise enamel gift box pendant with ribbon and bow detailing. The product information lists its country of origin as Italy.

Q: Is the turquoise colour a gemstone?
A: No. The pendant has a turquoise-coloured enamel finish, rather than a turquoise gemstone.

Q: How long is the necklace, and how does it fasten?
A: The necklace measures approximately 40 cm and fastens with a spring ring clasp. To check the fit, compare this measurement with a necklace you already wear.

Q: What condition is this necklace in?
A: This pre-owned necklace is in very good condition, with light marks and scratches throughout the material. The hardware is shiny with light scratches.

Q: Does it come with a Tiffany box or pouch?
A: No accessories are included, as stated in the product information. The Gift Box name describes the pendant design, not packaging supplied with the necklace.

Q: Has this necklace been authenticated?
A: Yes. According to the product information, its authenticity has been checked and certified by Kathrine, who has 20 years of experience in vintage and luxury jewellery.

Q: Will the sterling silver tarnish over time?
A: Sterling silver can naturally tarnish, particularly when exposed to salt air, sulphur-containing materials, chlorine or bleach. Tarnishing alone is not a sign that jewellery is inauthentic.

Q: Can I wear it in the shower or while swimming?
A: Tiffany recommends removing its jewellery before showering, bathing, swimming or exercising. Avoid direct contact with perfume, lotions and household cleaning products.

Q: How should I clean the silver and enamel pendant?
A: Gently wipe the necklace with a clean, soft cloth. As this design includes enamel, ask Tiffany for suitable cleaning advice before using silver polish or chemical cleaners on the pendant. Avoid abrasive rubbing, and consider professional cleaning for tarnish or stubborn marks.

Q: How should I store and protect the necklace?
A: Keep it dry in a suitably lined jewellery box or soft pouch, separately from other pieces to minimise scratches and tangling. Protect the pendant from knocks and abrasive surfaces, as enamel can chip or scratch. No storage box or pouch is included.
