Tiffany & CoReturn to Tiffany Silver Full Heart Earrings

Q: Are these Tiffany & Co. Return to Tiffany Silver Full Heart Earrings authentic?
A: Yes. Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously vetted by our in‑house experts and sold with our authenticity commitment. Shop with confidence.

Q: What are they made from? Are they solid silver or plated?
A: They are crafted in sterling silver (.925) from Tiffany’s Return to Tiffany collection, featuring the signature “Return to Tiffany” heart motif. Sterling silver denotes solid silver alloy—not silver‑plated fashion jewellery.

Q: What are the measurements and how do they look when worn?
A: The earrings are listed at approximately 3 cm (height) x 2 cm (width). They present as playful, dangling hearts with a polished finish. If you’d like the precise gram weight or an on‑ear photo for scale, message us and we’ll provide it.

Q: How do they fasten and are the backs secure?
A: This pair uses a latch‑back (lever‑back) closure typical of Tiffany drop earrings. Ensure the lever clicks fully into place before wear; a jeweller can adjust latch tension if needed for comfort and security.

Q: What hallmarks or stamps should I expect on Tiffany sterling silver earrings?
A: Expect Tiffany maker’s marks (e.g., “TIFFANY & CO.” or “T & CO.”) and a silver fineness mark such as “925/STERLING.” Placement varies by model and era (often on the reverse of the charm or on the ear wire). Hallmark appearance can differ by country of origin and sale.

Q: Are they suitable for sensitive ears? Are they nickel‑free?
A: Sterling silver is typically 92.5% silver alloyed mainly with copper and is generally considered nickel‑free. However, sensitivities vary. If you have known allergies, monitor comfort and discontinue wear if irritation occurs; we’re happy to advise further.

Q: Do Tiffany sterling silver earrings tarnish? How should I care for them?
A: Like all sterling silver, they can tarnish over time—especially with exposure to moisture, chlorine, sulphur compounds or perfumes. Keep them dry, remove before swimming/exercising, and avoid contact with cosmetics. Clean with a soft polishing cloth or a mild silver jewellery cleaner, then rinse in warm water and dry thoroughly. Store individually in a tarnish‑resistant pouch/box.

Q: Can Tiffany provide cleaning, polishing or replacement backs? What about replacing a single lost earring?
A: Tiffany boutiques offer on‑site cleaning services; sterling silver cleanings and polishing are available for a fee. Replacement earring backs may be available through Tiffany Client Care. Depending on the set and availability, Tiffany can sometimes replace a single lost earring—contact your local boutique or Client Care for options and quotations.

A: Yes—this pair is described as vintage and in Very Good Condition. Minor surface wear consistent with careful use may be present. Please review our close‑up photos.

Q: What is included and can I return it?
